RE: It’s coming19 Dec 2020 10:28
Does anyone really know what UK Gov PLC will spend on testing? There are so many contracts floating around, you could spend hours on Bidstats working out what is really going on. The Gov from the outside looking in are re-active, I am not sure who/what team is looking beyond a month or so. The latest school debacle is another good example of not thinking of the nuts and bolts.
One thing is clear, CV19/21 etc is here to stay and will need to be monitored forever - This infectious disease is clever, adaption is the name of the game and long covid from what I have (a friend of mine has had it for 5 months) read is no joke. The rush for tests is always ongoing, this is a long game, the home test/breathalyzer/especially for school kids is the real answer, that is the ticket to the golden egg.
Out of interest, I am in Portugal in the south, its been pretty much under control, mask wearing is mandatory, nearly everything is closed and has been for a while. Its getting worse here now with all this in place, and people adhere to the rules, only 10 million people and we are in lock down most weekends, ie: you can't leave your local area/council. Point is, you cannot stop CV19, maybe the vaccine can (another discussion) but most here will not be having it, trust is the keyword.
This new mutation the UK Gov mentioned, old news in southern Europe, just shows you how slow/weak/led by the media/too scared to do anything of fear of condemnation by the masses. All goverments new about this new mutation weeks if not months ago. Need a Maggie Thatcher in the UK, someone who has some balls and can do what needs to be done, all these politians are weak minded, one eye on what company (s) board they will be on when they are outed.
