RE: RNS7 Dec 2020 16:04
ogm4, udnerstood, thought I had missed something. Looks like its 3 colours, probably black being the killer colour for sale. If you compare this to the two other Graphene masks that are on the market, one is £10, the other is €40ish - although the Italian mask has a lot of USP's, one being it lasts for a year - just change the filter which lasts for 40 hours.
Haydale will distrubute, price from manufacture to them, so there is one margin (maybe they have a deal in place for a better margin due to the business relationship) Then Haydale should have a few price lists - Distrubution (say 50,000) and then wholesale - in the hundreds. In betweem that might be contract prices, ie: NHS, all bespoked pricing structures.
Take it as a given they have this in place? or what classifications? - https://ec.europa.eu/health/sites/health/files/md_sector/docs/md_guidance-reg-req-med-face-masks.pdf
The average RRP of mask in the UK is £5 (seems what most brands/online stores average at)
How will the mask be marketed, what are the USPS - What is the POS/packaging like if they want to knock on Boots door - That will determine how far up the RRP can go - Personally, anything under £5 will hit everyone, once you start crossing the £7/£8 line (unless the marketing is the dogs nuts) then sales will drop off significantly.
Derek Yoon, iCraft, General Manager - Are they going to support a marketing budget in the UK, Europe?
From the RNS - It has been proven to maintain these properties for up to 10 washes.
What is it, 10 or 5 - lets hope the packaging/marketing message is a bit more cleverer than that line. I take a guess, which is the KEY KEY point - How long does it last for, " the antibacterial activity of 99.9%" Do you wash the mask daily (presume it depends on your job) and the 99% antibacterial activity runs out? Point I am making, these are basic questions any buyer will ask them, and for Haydale they need to be precise - You don't want someone catching CV19 and its blamed on the mask because the marketing message is so broad.
Lets say its 5 washes to be safe to be 99.9% effective - Once a day its washed (recommended) that is 40 hours per week (call it 7 days/1 week) For mass sales, serious volumne, RRP is £5 - cost per day use for the end user is 71 pence per day (7 day use + that is constant use/40 hours plus)
Nothing to say Haydales margin cannot be a £1 + - PR/Marketing budget is key if they wholeale.
