Got a big game of "pitch n' toss" coming up with some of my chums later. When we were kids we played with 2p and 5p pieces. Now we use £1 and £2 coins. Hopefully our success has not gone to our heads. Anyway, I'm up £14 so far this year, so I definitely consider that an investment. Others may disagree.
PS - Rolls continues their relentless upward surge. Luckily I had invested/gambled some money on them, which has payed off nicely - sold a few tranches during the climb, and still holding some. Quite the contrast between the share price of these two companies since they both announced results just a couple of weeks ago. If I had put it all in Rolls, I would now be luxuriating in a bath of Dom Perignon, while 2 Latvian lovelies pop strawberries (or Greggs sausage rolls) into my mouth. That's hindsight for you. Hopefully we can catch up a little with them soon.
PPS - Only recently discovered that the USA still has vaccine restrictions in place. This is THREE YEARS later! Madness.
Made even more frustrating now that the lunacy of a lot of things that occurred during that period are now being exposed. Not that a lot of us didn't think that at the time anyway. But of course, if you spoke out at the time about any of the restrictions/lockdowns, you were denounced as a "covid-denier" or possibly even a heartless murderer.
Never forgive, never forget. Luckily for me, I have clearly got past it all.

Nice bump for Wizz this morning after some excellent pax numbers for Feb. Be nice if we (and EZJ) could catch their slipstream, but not happening at the moment.

How many times have I told myself to walk away from this board, and the share price charts, and just come back in 3- 6 months time? Loads - but do I do it? Hell no.
So this is how addiction feels. I've never been into drugs, but perhaps I should start. It would probably prove cheaper in the long run than investing.
Now crush that share certificate, and inject it straight into my arm. Oh yeah, baby - that feels so good....

Agreed - my earlier post was me just having a bit of fun. Anyway, I seem to remember a conversation with you a while back about Rolls - and we were both happy at getting in at around the £1 mark. Of course, it then dropped further, but has now paid off. As there is a link between here and that share, I guess that me and you are not the only ones here who have been at least partially bailed out by the sudden rise there. Hopefully, given a little time, that same patience will pay off here as it did with Rolls.
Of course, having seen a rise here from sub £1, one could argue that this has already occurred, but I am happy to sit on my (admittedly smallish) holding, in expectation of rewards down the line. Patience is a virtue, and as I have no noticeable other virtues, I am hoping that this one will reward me.

Be interesting to see what happens here next week. Will the slide continue? Or (as I have seen lots of times elsewhere) will a drop after results then be followed by an uplift over the following weeks?

This time yesterday I was eyeing up a detached house in rural Sussex ( 2 acres, 1 pool).
Now got my sights set on a studio flat in S****horpe.
