I wouldn't reject the macro picture here. Oilies are all suffering and there's no doubt a link to this being election year in the US. Tlw SP ride has been more of a roller-coaster, but over the last 12 months Tlw and BP are both around 15% down. The sentiment will change once US election is out of way

At Jubilee (38.6% working interest), oil production in the fourth quarter averaged approximately 92,400 bopd gross with two water injection wells brought online. In 2024, one new producer well and one injector well were brought online in early 1Q with three additional wells expected online in the coming months before we expect the current rig contract to end.

FPSO reliability remains high at approximately 99% year to date and water injection is currently at record levels of approximately 285,000 barrels of water per day (bwpd). This compares with ~150,000 bwpd in the fourth quarter and ~160,000 bwpd over 2023. At current water and gas injection rates, we expect 100% voidage replacement in 2024, providing the necessary pressure support to maintain elevated production levels.

At TEN (20.4% working interest), production averaged approximately 18,500 bopd gross for the fourth quarter in line with expectations.

The partnership has submitted a draft amended plan of development (“PoD”) for a high-graded activity set at TEN and a combined gas sales agreement for Jubilee and TEN to the Government of Ghana for approval. An interim gas sales agreement for Jubilee associated gas has been extended through May 2024 at a price of $2.95/mmbtu while discussions are ongoing on a longer-term agreement. In the fourth quarter, Ghana gas production net to Kosmos was approximately 5,800 boepd.

The surge in Nvidia Corp. shares on Thursday has left short sellers with about $3 billion in paper losses, according to an analysis by S3 Partners LLC, which called it an “AI generated nightmare” for bearish traders.

The mark-to-market losses are another blow for contrarians who argued that Nvidia’s sky-high valuations and speculative fever had all the makings of a market bubble about to pop. The chipmaker is the third-largest US short with $18.3 billion of shares that have been borrowed and sold, according to S3.

“The early mark-to-market losses were inescapable for many short sellers that were looking to trim their positions after NVDA’s earnings report,” Ihor Dusaniwsky, managing director of predictive analytics at S3, wrote in the note. “Short sellers will probably wait a bit to look for more favorable exit points.”

The rally in Nvidia sparked broader gains across the US chip industry. Short sellers had a one-day paper loss of $4.3 billion from semiconductor stocks, S3 data showed. Semiconductors are the worst-performing sector for short sellers this year, with mark-to-market losses of $7.2 billion in February.

Article doesn't bode well for oil exploration in Kenya. We might see the can kicked down the road again. Perhaps explains tardy response of Kenya government to FDP approval and partners giving up.

This is getting strong now. I expect up from here. Can't see it testing 32/33 again. 35-40 range next week.!! POO is just going one way and will drag us with it.!! And then RNS could drop soon aswell. Don't want to be out. Added another 3k today.
