I personally think it’s a wise move by nano. I don’t really see what good can come of drip feeding bits and pieces.

They want to return to investors (many of whom, as we’ve said are deeply in the red) with big news.

To address a previous point about the SP, it’s not unreasonable to assume the rise is purely sentiment. Nothing fundamental has changed here. Happy to be wrong!

On the one hand you have buyers wanting a box seat for Markman. On the other, long suffering shareholders that haven’t come this far to walk away on the eve of a potentially transformative moment for Nano.

Yes any settlement is going to be a shot in the arm for the SP but for me, it’s the idea tjat nano will have its intellectual property, and therefore a key revenue stream, back.

The upside potential is significant. The downside risk, potentially existential. Worth the gamble in my book.

Fully expect it to keep heading north.

Plenty of punters will want a box seat for the court case and will keep buying. Sellers will be scarce as for many, this share owes them money and this is the best chance of seeing it back.

There’s a lot to be hopeful about here. The court case is more than just the settlement, it potentially gives Nano their intellectual property (which, let’s not forget is valuable to many electronics producers) and, by extension, earning power back.

The upside potential is significant.

At first glance it would appear there are a higher number of ‘sells’ but the share volumes of these sell orders are small. Whereas the handful of buy orders are in the 10s of thousands territory.

‘Judge Rodney Gilstrap’... the same Rodney Gilstrap presiding over the Nano case.

Of course, as with any judge, he will assess the case on its merits, but it must feel like Groundhog Day for this judge seeing Samsung hauled over the coals again.

This is good news.

The spread has been doing some whacky things today.

Virtually at 0 and trading volumes up. Potentially some big players taking their positions ahead of this hearing...

It seems somewhat contradictory for you to say that your (admittedly small) position is based on future custom, when the likelihood of further custom, certainly in terms of its key flagship technology, almost completely hinges on the outcome of the Markman hearing.
You would probably have more sympathy coming out and saying it’s a gamble on the outcome. I’m sure others have done the same. But if you genuinely believe the chances of a positive outcome are so slim, why not wait until the inevitable crash in the SP? Your timing seems very odd for someone that sees no near term upside potential and also sees negative news coming out in the short term...
