Agree BTB, it might feel like a delay but it’ll make the verdict watertight and therefore, if successful, ensure the payday is much sooner compared to going to trial now and enduring appeals etc.

Don’t forget none of this eliminates the outside possibility of a pre court settlement…

Sir Peter Horby interviewed on Marr today. Very interesting to listen to.

Horby’s parting comment really caught my ear " we don't know where or when the next potential pandemic virus will emerge, but undoubtedly it will ...so it's really worthwhile investing very intensively for the next 20 - 30 years to make sure that we don't have to experience this again. "

OO is front and centre to facilitate virus modelling through the challenge studies. This is a hot space right now and as Sir Peter alluded to, not just a short term thing.

To clarify: the beginning of the end of this whole legal saga (in a good way) not the end of Nano!

My first (layman’s) reaction to the docket is that you have Nano steamrolling towards trial and then, all of a sudden, agreeing to a stay. Clearly something fundamental has shifted behind the scenes: whether that be strategy or talks between the two parties.
Either way the ball was very much in nano’s court regarding a stay and therefore, as I see it, clearly to their benefit somehow. Precisely what that might be is yet to be discovered but a settlement would be great news.

It may be another twist in what’s been a right rollercoaster, or, dare I say it, beginning of the end.

Remaining cautiously optimistic as ever.

No worries SeenRight I agree with a lot of what you say.

We just all need to remember that this won’t go up in a straight line. This is obviously a lull into which a few are pouring pessimism, but the long term future looks really promising.

For the record my average is 35p so I’m underwater. But I don’t let SP dictate my mood.

If I was dealing with multiple fundraisers, lies, no sense of purpose or direction, wildly bouncing SPs (I’m talking 80/90% losses from all time highs) no profitability or a whiff of one, then I’d be annoyed. For the record I’ve been involved in shares that tick all of those boxes I’ve just mentioned, but equally I know I’m in AIM, and this sort of stuff is sadly all too common.

I think we all need a bit of perspective here. Orph is a hugely exciting and dynamic company that I believe will realise epic gains in the next 2-3 years. Sure the SP is low but how often do SP and fair value truly match up? I’m not here to sell until we are way way north of here so I don’t really care whether it’s where it is right now or at our last ATH. I’m prepared to be patient and see CF’s vision come to fruition.

For some posters here I feel the dissatisfaction runs so deep they ought to move on. That’s not to say we should be the OO cheerleading squad but equally if folk haven’t a good word to say about a company they have their hard earned in, why not move on?

No one is controlling a narrative here. We are all adults capable of making our own minds up and coming to our own conclusions.

I agree the board shouldn’t be one sided. But equally, there’s no point in having debate for the sake of it.

Many of the ‘counterpoints’ to the prevailing positive narrative that this company has engineered are often very speculative, or is just CF bashing. To me, that’s not debate, that’s just moaning. And I really do think that those moaners wouldn’t be moaning if the SP was a little higher, which is just dummy out the pram behaviour rather than genuine dissenting voices making fair points based on facts.

I’m surprised we haven’t heard anything further on the Judge’s decision to stay proceedings or not.

Ear, if you are in long term, why do you need convincing it’s going back to 40p plus? If you can’t see upside then what’s the point?

I think you made a lot of fair points about CF catching himself out at times. However, frustrating as that is, it doesn’t change the direction of travel and what CF has achieved thus far.

He made a big statement about news preventing him buying shares. Let’s see what that is and where that leaves us. Contracts will ultimately get this SP moving and the way the two were talking about projected earnings going forward, that will surely mean a big move upwards in this financial year.

All of this excludes the exciting developments with spin offs, which should put people off dipping in and out…

I’m sure Richardson will be chuffed to be receiving investment advice from the guy that sold at the 90 day low, right at the starting line of an epic bull run.

No date that I can see yet for IPO, perhaps when the roadshow is under way we will know more.

To participate in an IPO you’ll need to create an account with primary bid. It’s relatively easy to do via their app. I did it on the weekend at it took 10 mins.

You may feel quite differently in a couple of weeks time…

I think today’s coverage will silence the critics. It goes to show that as its own entity, with its own board and its own vision, a spin out pharma has the potential to do way more, and way better, than it ever would as part of open orphan. I remember the day that we had the big drop on the first spin out RNS and some people scoffing at this just because it wasn’t DIM. Yet already this feels really exciting and I plan to buy a few shares at IPO.

I really like the sound of Jeremy Skillington, he’s got quite the CV. From the website, the vision is clear:

“Poolbeg is led by a team with proven capabilities in identifying, acquiring and accelerating assets through development to commercialisation.”

This isn’t a POLB001 one trick pony, they plan to acquire (which CF is a specialist at)and/or develop a range of promising treatments. I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have their eye on a few treatments that the IPO money could allow them to buy and develop. Could be huge.

I’m with you nano. The SP is being bled down on tiny volumes so it’s a bit of a false flag. Only 90k shares changed hands Friday! Nobody is selling. Think most are waiting for judgement day and won’t part with them beforehand.

Demon, a great feature of this BB, in my view, is that open debate and conversation is the norm. I think your post summarises nicely the two camps people fall into, many who share your view voted with their feet yesterday and hence the drop. For me, it seems a logical misstep to attach too much to last year’s results when it’s clear so much has changed and so much lies ahead. But to each their own.

I thought it was a nice touch at the end for him to suggest monthly updates.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the big marquee updates, and I do believe him, but it’s the concept of him not shying away from shareholders and holding himself absolutely accountable that I like most.

Yesterday’s presentation was music to the ears of long term holders like myself, but Cathal also said things that could provide ammo for detractors.It’s going to be a big year and I’m really looking forward to the ride…starting with whatever it is that’s stopping CF buying more.

I don’t plan on selling a bean in this very exciting company any time soon. Good luck to those that hung on yesterday and here’s to better times ahead.

It needed to happen at some point. No time like the present and all that.

There’s absolutely no point in having a 0 value asset sitting at the back of the closet doing nothing. CF sees something in it, and so it will be spun out. To do otherwise isn’t proactive and effective leadership in my book. So I absolutely back the move. We can’t really judge whether it’s the right call until IPO and if sufficient funds are raised to float.

The SP will do what it will in the mean time. Tomorrow’s results and CF buying in will usher a change in momentum IMO but the long game here is still incredibly strong.

As a LTH, disappointed by the abuse TBH. Especially as it would’ve taken folk just as long to provide an answer as it would’ve done to hurl insults. I’ve been busy at work all day and was just hoping someone could provide a quick update.

I’ve since found out and potentially some great news afoot. Good luck to all but just as a side note a bit of kindness doesn’t cost a penny. Doesn’t reflect well on any BB calling others ignorant simply for asking for some information.
