RE: RNS26 Oct 2021 18:21
A similar discussion was had last time we had a polygon RNS. Doc83 raised tbe question of what the motive was, potentially hostile, and some posters, rather disparagingly told us to stop moaning and follow the money.
In terms of the immediate health of your investment, polygon’s activities are undoubtedly a good thing. They’re clearly so bullish that they can’t get hold of shares quick enough, tbe CFDs offer polygon the option to continue to acquire via a different means, and it certainly adds weight to the argument they intend to try and get to 30% in time for the readout.
Which is where I begin to wonder. We all want to see maximum value here. And even with Polygon doing whatever it is they are doing, I see a clear 5 bag scenario from here. But with an II dictating terms, will we get true, maximum value? That I’m not so sure about. I’d rather it was SNG advising shareholders in the event of any JV/buyout offers, not an II throwing their weight around with their 30 or so %.
Now I could be barking up the wrong tree, and I hope I am, and likewise you may be thinking shut up and take your 5 bag you greedy so and so. But I feel that with my modest position here, if the stars align, we could be sat on something monumentally valuable, and I wouldn’t want to see it sold short.
