Stop losses are for traders, not PIs. And I don’t take your ‘dog’ theory either. Market sentiment is a powerful force, and when prices move against us it can really play the devil with your thoughts. The market makes you THINK you’re holding a dog because that’s what the price is signalling. But saying price dictates whether you own a good or bad stock is well wide of the mark. That why you get capitulation, and we all know what happens after that…

Let me give you a specific example. The day before another stock I’m in, SNG shot up to the region of 280, it tested a 12 month low of 30p…let that sink in for a minute.

If you are a PI who has carefully researched your stock there is no way you should be setting stop losses, and definitely not broadcasting the price at which you’d Chuck in the towel either!

10 year chart sorry

Well said Amerloque. It’s worth mentioning Nano has been really quite unlucky over the last few years too. The whole DOW situation and now Samsung; these events could’ve totally wiped this company out, and very nearly did. The 5 year chart here is enough to make even the most hardened of investors wince.

But as the old adage goes: ‘past performance is not an indicator of future results’. I totally get that there are a few beat up PIs probably still here, who find being optimistic on Nano hard, but it’s abundantly clear to me where this is headed over the next few years. I really like the way BT has gone about reviving the business and when that starting gun is fired off the back of the legal case next year we will be in a very different place to where we are now.

I’m sure BTB will be more chipper, when either:
A) his target entry price is met
Or
B) we go above his average
Depending on his situation of course ;)

We have Poly to thank for 2 reasons:
Their 15% isn’t swilling round adding to volatility today.
It’s likely they have been buying today, and put a really useful floor on the SP that might otherwise have fell through.
It’s no coincidence instis create stability. The investment case here is still largely unchanged, still, today could’ve been a total bloodbath.

A desperate government reeling from supply chain issues, the latest corruption lobbying scandal, desperately looking for an out. You can almost imagine the conversations in the corridors of Whitehall:
'We need some good news, approval ratings are in the ground'
'Well, there is a new drug that can treat COVID, but...'
'Approve it'
'Ok, but it hasn't been peer reviewed yet and we have concerns about it's mutagenetic...'
'Stop going on. How much is it?'
'Well, it's £500 but for it to have an impact we would need to give it to every body with COVID in early phase disease progression so actually it would be quite expensive and...'
'£500 a go you say, seems cheap enough. Make sure you give it all the bells and whistles 'game changer', 'wonder drug' should do it.'

All due respect Hawi but BBs are, yes, for the sharing of facts, but also opinions too. Does no harm to speculate on our investments and it’s nice to think our opinions are taken in the context of a discussion rather than anyone trying to dress opinion as fact.
I personally am guilty of reading too much into the delay but equally I’ve been in plenty of situations where I’ve had a hunch that turned out to be true.
Either way to get back on topic I’m pleased with the results today, enjoyed learning of BT’s bullish tone on commercialisation, and look forward to the months ahead.

Never forget this is viral agnostic. For every door that closes another opens, US authorities will be very interesting to learn just how versatile SNG is I have no doubt.

This is why the widely touted £10 target so many here have is extremely conservative IMO.

Well said NGR. This is a long term play. This time next year we could be sitting well above a £1 or not exist at all. But at 20 or so p it’s definitely worth it. And once the legal matters are settled (on that I’m very bullish) with cash in the bank, who knows what heights we could hit. The way that the world is evolving, COP26 and all that, surely it won’t be long before cadmium free dots are the only dots allowed…

Volumes are low and trades not the round numbers you tend to see when an insti is loading. I’d say Poly have stopped for now…

Hello all,

Something I’ve been musing today is the relationship between SNG and the US market. It’s well documented that there is a high level of scepticism around, and refusal of, COVID vaccines. The hard government line (threatening job losses for unvaccinated workers etc) seems to have entrenched many in their anti vax sentiment. The numbers are pretty eye watering, good article here:

Now, logic dictates a similar scepticism might exist with treatments, especially Mabs and the Merck pill. However, I think SNG, which works using naturally occurring proteins, would meet with approval amongst this significant market of sceptical Americans, I’d wager this will be at the back of the American authority’s minds. Along with ease of use (inhaler) the very nature of the treatment might prove an additional selling point to the US IMO…
