Logically, yes. But seems the more packets we get, the less money we make. Slashing prices would be pointless. It's costing tons of overtime just to get through what we have coming in currently. We don't need more business, we need to work out how to process and deliver what we have, for less money. Cutting our wages is a non starter. Believe it or not, 99% of posties are hard working, working to the max now, so you can't say, just work harder. Also you may think letters are dropping off a cliff but my experience says different. Seems doing letters and packets at the same time, six days a week is just not paying for some reason. It's a worry that's for sure. Packets take so much more space (for transporting) and time (for delivery) is it really worth it? We seemed to make more profit with more letters and less packets.
