Logically, yes. But seems the more packets we get, the less money we make. Slashing prices would be pointless. It's costing tons of overtime just to get through what we have coming in currently. We don't need more business, we need to work out how to process and deliver what we have, for less money. Cutting our wages is a non starter. Believe it or not, 99% of posties are hard working, working to the max now, so you can't say, just work harder. Also you may think letters are dropping off a cliff but my experience says different. Seems doing letters and packets at the same time, six days a week is just not paying for some reason. It's a worry that's for sure. Packets take so much more space (for transporting) and time (for delivery) is it really worth it? We seemed to make more profit with more letters and less packets.

Ok, what our competitors 'allow' us to charge. Our competitors like Hermes who will leave your packets anywhere. The USO and its unfair constrictions ,is killing this company, something needs to give. Ironically though, it's our selling point too. People complain now about the price of stamps. Honestly, if they got in a car and tried to take it themselves they'd get about 5 miles with the cost of fuel alone and we're expected to potentially take that item 900 miles! As it is at the moment it's gonna be a rocky road for both shareholders and employees. Funny thing is, we are mega busy too.

Packets can increase as much as you like, they are proving too costly to process and deliver for the price we are allowed to charge , it's a conundrum that's for sure. When it comes down to it packets cost a lot more than letters. Packets are on the up, letters down ( not by as much as they'd like you to think). Can Rico sort it out? Who knows but I doubt we'll see this as a £5 share for a very long time if at all.

Is the divi covered? Really? I'd look at your figures again. Forward EPS is just about what the forward divi is at around 26p. Not exactly covered by the twice EPS figure that's generally spoken about to be a sustainable level. I'd love this sp to rocket, I have free shares and five grand worth of my own at 280. I'm just trying to be realistic with the divi talk.

Marks slashed the divi to pay for, in part, the ocado deal. What will Rico be doing to justify slashing the divi, apart from saying it's not affordable?

Isn't safe here. That's why it's being shorted. I wish it were safe, as us full time posties have around a thousand shares plus others have brought more, but sadly I and many others don't have the confidence in our leader ,and I'm not talking Theresa May, although that could apply too.

Brokered this 'deal'. You pay £700m for a 50/50 JV ......and it's gonna be called ....... ocado.com.! No mention of mns . Call me old fashioned, but if I'd paid that much for a 50/50 I'd want my name on it too. Rowe will be stood up all day today, he won't be able to sit down after that shafting. V disappointed.

I agree with the first bit however the shoppers in our store, a fairly new one on an edge of town shopping centre, seem mainly to be under 40s getting quick meals for tea on way home from work.

Deal to me. Paying 700m for something that will net you 70m extra a yr by the third yr and what would have netted 35m last yr doesn't seem to stack up? Seems ocado got the best out of this and m and s seems to be just grasping at expensive staws to get into online and try to rescue the business. I'm concerned and I hold 6k shares. Disappointed with this news.

It's a recurring theme lately. Take a look at RMG or TUI if this follows their themes it's got a little way to fall yet, maybe close to £2 . Also Asda figures didn't exactly sparkle the other day too. The market is crazy at the moment, too many auto algorithm trades ,a small drop gets totally exaggerated then snowballs, then shorters come on board and soon the SP is very disjointed from anything that is actually happening with the company!

Happened with royal mail. CEO bought millions worth from £3.20 down , still ended up going down to 2.45 at one point. People maybe think, they get paid that much, it's only like an average punter putting a couple of grand in, so doesn't show that much commitment. End of the day the market decides the SP, sometimes ( seems most of the time these days) the SP becomes very disjointed from the true worth of the company. Markets are hitting bad results hard. Very hard. Hell they even hit results that are gonna be broadly the same as last yr and sometimes companies make more than last yr and the SP gets hit down because it's not as much more as someone forecast! It's all a big gamble but I would say £8 for a share that was £18 not so long ago is pretty good considering it's the largest travel firm in the world and profits aren't forecast to drop, just stay the same.......buy hold and wait a few months. If (and I can't believe we're not gonna) we get a Brexit deal it's all gonna come good. Maybe your rdsb or BHP shares will drop a bit on a stronger pound but this should rally. GL all.

I think the recent woes over at TUI may be holding this back, oh, and the 'B' word too. Lol
