Does this mean there's not much point taking up your rights issue shares? If you don't there's not much hope of getting anything paid for them if you let em lapse is there?

Why has the purchase price and average price of my ordinary shares dropped and the rights issue shares looks to have borrowed money from my original purchase price shares? If I don't take up and buy my rights shares, will my portfolio go back to how it was i.e original purchase price and average price? Never dealt with a rights issue before. Thanks in advance.

You misinterpreted what I said. The motley Fool article stated both bdev and PSN were valued high end giving Investors a chance to sell. Was just pointing out the falacy of the article as PSN is way off it's highs. I agree with you, bdev is the much superior company's. Five stars for 10 yrs running says alot.

Exactly! This is ridiculous that TUI ( or any other airlines) should bear the brunt of this Boeing fault. Ultimately it's us shareholders bearing the cost of this. If I ran a taxi firm and my cars had to be recalled for a manufacturer fault, I'd bloody well want compensating as it would be no fault of my own. This is a scandalous.

Just Google the company name and the word 'dividend' and you'll find out the dates. Ex-div is the date you must hold the shares to qualify for the respective dividend. After ex div day you are free to sell, although the share price will drop by the amount of the dividend, all else being equal.

Quite a few. Especially as you'll have to wait almost another yr to get any divi here. This is a recovery share now. If you are looking for attractive dividend income, look at rdsb, BHP, bdev, RMG, PSN, all reasonably priced ATM.
