How just 2 months ago they were still talking of double digit growth ( the sp went up £1) and now that talk of growth is gone. Surely 2 months ago they had an inkling or has it all been lost in the space of 2 months. Think if we see low £8 tomorrow, I'll bag some more for a medium term 6 months or so ,hopefull recovery back to £11+ for a 20% gain for me. We as posties do everything that is asked of us. If we can't get the productivity to get the next phase of the sww, there will be trouble, as it will be seen to be a management problem, not ours. The sww in reality was never going to be self funding. In reality, most full timers are just getting an extra hrs overtime, and part timers are getting their enhanced hr rate (in lieu of the fact that their week is no shorter), ALL the time. Even when on holiday or sick. Something I personally, as a full timer, feel is wrong. So much so that I've considered going part time and just doing overtime to make hrs up. I'd probably be better off.

If the shorter working week gets put on hold, expect a walk out by posties. It's our pay rise in effect. We get paid same contract pay for less contract hrs. If that gets taken away there will be unrest.

I would say it'll be a fairly brief ' how we did over Christmas' , type of update. Wouldn't bank on any kind of details of the '5 yr plan' . We haven't heard anything so I doubt herr back has come up with anything startling yet.
