I looked yesterday I am 99.6% down. After a consolidation and dilution we will see if my broker can report to 3 decimal places lol

That was a confusing way of stating your holding, 13,350,000? I understand the sentiment, but after 5 years following the last consolidation and, having held shares since 2012, it's not so much giving another chance as it is last chance saloon.

The money will come from more than 1 dilution. Shares in issued after last consolidation 30 mill. Shares in issue today 1,535 mill, a lot more than a 100% dilution in the last 5 years. The company will survive longer than a few months but any shares owned will rapidly loose value. The only question is how many years can a consolidation can buy. The only people who will benefit will be the salary takers, the shareholders will see no return on investment. If I wanted to make a differnce now to cancer research I would give the money to CRUK, I would sleep easy and not waste so much time on here.

Oh well got to get to the day job, hopefully we will have a good day on here today.

Hi Borgie, the impression I got from the Edinburgh presentation was that Genice (the Val 101 product) was something that was glossed over. Not sure now if that was because it was old tech or if it was not very advanced compared to Val 201 and 401. Whether Genice is the crown jewels or not, I think a comprehensive update on what is happening with these products is required, even if it is something just to say that the 401 discussions with black cat are ongoing and planed to be concluded by Dd/MM/YYYY.

It certainly is a shame that the last RNS indicates that BOD's position on funding has not changed. It was good that the RNS reflects shareholder satisfaction with the company and how it is run. Yes certainly looks like they have a gun to our heads, but hopefully they can address concerns in earnest before it's too late. I don't think there is anyone who wants the company to fail so hopefully the BOD will respond in good faith shortly.

Hi rhd1, I have been looking at the companies act 2006 and the FCA regulations on disclosure, but can't find anything about prohibitions or restrictuons on communication between shareholders and the board of directors of a company. Can you direct me to suitable guidance? Kind regards

Certainly a possibility, but we do have a common interest and all that is required is for the BOD to be professional in thier engagement with the SAG.

A key ponit is the assumption that the BOD have explored alternatives. The RNS does not indicate any movement in their position.
I look at the situation as a stand off.
The SAG have set out their position it is for the BOD to respond.
It is unlikely that the BOD would release an RNS agreeing to anything before discussion with the SAG is completed
As far as I know no attempt to engage with the SAG has been made.
They are putting pressure on us, but we have nothing to lose at this point.
I do not think it necessary to agree to everything requested by the SAG, but if the BOD do not engage it is they who will drive this company into administration

Just to be clear I DO NOT want the company to fold. I underhand that people will lose their investments. I also appreciate that the value of investments in a number of cases has been reduced to a ponit that losing it all is not much of a risk.

If you vote yes the company continues, but you will never see a return your investment. Surly you can save yourself a load of hassle if you just give your money to cancer research UK? What is there here to try and preserve? Why did we put our money in here rather than CRUK? I don't accept any arguments about the patients, that is just an emotional argument and has no basis in investment decisions. I just don't doubt that we put our money in here because we thought there was a reasonable chance to make a return. If it is not possible to make a return what is the ponit of investing in here?

Chrisatrdg, do you have the skills to replace GM and/or SV? Genuine query. If having a replacement for them is key to having a future it would be good if we could could recruit from the shareholder pool if only to build some confidence in shareholders that there is some in post with whom their goals align.

I could support the motion if I had confidence that there would be change, however nothing to date has been communicated to that effect.
This conpany is being brought down by a crisis in confidence. The only people who can resolve this are the BOD, by at least engaging with the SAG and then issuing an RNS to advise of changes made and that the SAG will now support the motion in light of the changes made.

You can look at the various documents that will confirm the number of ordinary shares in issue. The document confining the 30mill figure in 2015 is in a document dated for June 2015.

Well we have a responce from the BOD. Sort of
They have given thier recomcomdatuon and the basis for it, liquidity.
The question therfore is whether you trust the BOD or not, people need to think about what they want and vote a
ccordingly. I do want to make the following points :
In May 2015 after the last consolidation there were 30mil shares. There are currently 1.536billon shares. Given that level of dilution do you think you will get a return? You can average down but in that case you are always better buying tomorrow rather than today.
When it comes to communications the ponit about making a concession to communicate with pi's is a red herring the share ownership information on ValiRx's own website shows only their own broker has a 3% stake. All other shareholders are pi's!

The BOD only owns 7.5mill shares between them that is 0. 47% of the shares in issue.
As I said it boils down to trust. If you think you can trust the BOD then approve the proposal. All I am saying is that there is evidence above to demonstrate that you are just throwing good money after bad if you try to mitigate against dilltuon and will not see a return on your investment.

Drac if I had 14k to spend on 24mill Val shares I wouldn't. It would have been enough for a 1.5% (there abouts) ownership of the company. Can't know for sure but if I were a dispassionate speculator I would use stop losses.
It's become clear over the long run that this is not an investment share. At any given ponit people could buy in thinking that the company had ongoing trails and sp boosting news to report but it never arrived. This share is only of interest to speculators now who think that they can make money by calling the outcome of the current crisis right.

The sad thing is that isn't a mad idea. You will get a div (pennies., but that's what my Val holding is worth) and over the next couple of years you stand to make money on the recovery. I was thinking DGE as we all need a drink, but now thinking ULVR no matter how bad it gets we are still gonna want to wash!

ValJu, I know the shares are cheep. Just 2k will get more shares than any individual BOD member holds. Just don't want you to throw good money after bad. I had quite forgotten what that actually means. I have been so focused on the BOD buying shares to show confidence that I didn't really think about the oddness of having to take direction from someone who owns less shares than a fair number of posters on here.
