Not sure what is behind the buying, there have been a few 1 to 2.5mil share purchases I over the last couple of weeks. No indication that it is the BOD (would have thought they would have to notify),!no indication that it is a single buyer. Maybe it is an attempt to get consolidation through but as keep to facts mentioned earlier that's asking someone to pump in a load of money and then get diluted. I hope its not someone over extending themselves by attempting to average down. Take an informed risk if you like, but I would hate to see someone losing what they can't afford on this share.

Ktf re your 12.02. I think you are quite right. But as I mentioned a day or so ago, if you want to rebuild trust you might need to take a hit if you want to look credible.

Sl, I think you unintentionally conflating seperate issues.
The practical issues of protecting our investment (1) are quite separate from (2) and (3) as you refer to them.
In fact both could simply be incidental to (1)
(3) is regrettable, but the company is all but destroyed the only question is whether you are going to drift along hoping things will work out, or try and take some action to protect your investment. Drifting requires trust and that is thin on the ground right now.

Mathsproof, I don't see much reason to be anything other than negative at the moment.
In terms of the compounds I would say that this is the expected risk of investing in a biotech.
However I don't think a lack of trust in the BOD is a run of the mill risk.
I want the company to succeed, but funding is an issue.
How can we get over the trust hurdle?
We are in a stand off, the BOD could do something to build trust. The ideas that have been floated include BOD pay cuts and share purchase.
How about an alternative? How about giving the green light to the consolidation, but at a price?) if GM were to go perhaps?

I don't think that idea will fly either. The BOD have given no indication that they will take any action themselves to support the company, nor any indication that they will address the trust issue or even that there is a trust issue. There is no indication that the BOD want anything else other than business as usual. Its that which makes me think it is the BOD that is killing this company.

Can't remember if it was 4 or 6 weeks but I think we will have a responce soon in either case. The BOD still haven't responded to my email or acknowledged it as requested. Hopefully they will be able to respond with a solution /suggestion that engenders some confidence rather than more of the same.

Aim is without doubt risky. The research might not lead to anything and as already mentioned financing is a another key risk factor. However the current financing issue has been precipitated by an underlying trust issue.
Consolidation would have given the opportunity to raise funds, but there just wasn't enough trust in the BOD to belive that that consolidation followed by share issue was acting in the best interest of the company or shareholders. A key element of that lack of trust is that the BOD do not take action to support the company themselves i.e. salary cut and/or share purchase. I think the comment that you can't expect the BOD to do these things is fair, the ponit however is that sometimes you need to take a hit for long term gains. If the BOD took a hit it would do something to address trust and would demonstrate that they belive Val has a long term future. The BOD's behavior does not indicate that they have faith in the company.

Very much agree Academy. If the company does fold they will get away if people don't report thier misconduct. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that and things can be turned around.
If the BOD do push us into admistration I won't hesitate to complain to as many regulators as possible and do what I can to stop them taking advantage of others in the future.

It looks like ownership of the ip is dependent on where valirx is in developing the compounds. If valirx are at human trial stage then the ip is theirs to be brought and sold (or asset stripped) if they haven't performed then 201 might revert to CRUK.

Roses, not saying you are wrong, but the gov UK website doesn't appear to reflect that. More interesting is that 201 isn't even ValiRx's development!

Lol I just managed to find something by googling company nomad. School prefect might be a fair discription. That said what advice, governance has their advisor given? In the case of val their advisor is more like a school bully taking dinner money and giving nothing in return!

Bp82 as you say it could be a closed period IF there is news on the way, but given the mess we are in it would be better to confirm that as soon as possible and then deliver the news. Given the mixed interpretation of the report update yesterday I am not sure either is the case. Further if the BOD attempt to hide behind a closed period when there is no news it will only further deminish trust in the BOD.

Nomlungu, I guess that makes logical sense, but leaves the question as to whether the trial itself has been completed open. Oh well fingers crossed and let's see what happens over the next few weeks.

Yes that is definitely a good bit of detective work, well done. It says the completion date was 27/1/2020. Not sure how long it might take to publish the results, would be great if it could be published by mid March. Not sure if it will be boom!, but it could be a step in the right direction.
