I don't intend to post much once the dust settles. I have already advised the SAG the way I am voting.
One thing I will say is that I really do not agree that the BOD have been given shock.
We stood up to them. They didn't budge an inch. The issue of shares to dilute discontents will put them in a safe place. You are deluding yourself if you think they have sent them a message. The message they have received is that if shareholders stand up to them all they need to do is be autocratic. I really hope people have the good sence not to increase their exposure to ValiRx and put their money (the only other vote they have) into safer ftse shares.

In all fairness it is going to disconcerting to risk whats left of your investment on calling the directors bluff on administration. It is a shame however as the BOD will have to completely destroy a person's investment before people will vote them out and by then thier shares won't count for much compared to the total in issue. Val will always exploit new shareholders. The thing I have learnt from all this is that there are no major holders except for the broker and there will never be an institutional investor. The BOD have thier meal ticket.

I have the same issue last time (and this time) with Halifax. If you have a strong feeling one way or the other all you will need to do is call Hl and tell them you have received a notification and tell them you want to vote for or against the proposal. They will then register your vote

The concensus is yes to consolidation. To quote an earlier post yes yes no to the 3 actual resolutions

Can't say I am happy with the concensus, but it is the concensus. I think there will probably be a post consolidation rise if people want to take a punt. As for me I think I will take advantage of the low prices on gsk, Bdev, Tw, dge, Lloy, Rbs for example and do it right from now on.

I think it's a misnomer and refers to the other two directors gerry dislier (accountant and professional director if you look on companies House) and Kevin Alexander. Both are paid much less than George and Satu which might be the cause of misunderstand.
They won't be voting against the proposal.
Not sure what is happening with the vote against George and Satu. If we don't have the comittment to call thier bluff I doubt we would in any vote on thier future. The share issue following consolidation will pretty much kill off any attempt to vote them out if there are twice as many voting shares up for grabs.
At the risk of instantly falling into opinion I think the BOD have called our bluff and we have gone vegitarian right at the moment when we MIGHT have been required to make the kill.

Tired, right now I want to slap the next person that says DYOR! But its all based on christrdg's Post this morning.
But two points have not been tested - what evidence is their of his credentials
What evidence is there that the company is insolvent?
If nothing has changed since the last vote what was the ponit of it?
What will be will be but from now on we all need to pay more attention to the published accounts, review things like spending and salaries properly from now on rather than listening to gossip on here taking individual responsibility for holding the BOD to account

That might explain why the proposal to remove George and Satu is not mentioned? If they get the consolation though they would have won the argument over thier competence. The dilution immediately following it will make it difficult to get rid of them as newbies will get suckered in once Val has a massive rise in sp on consolidation day (and probably rises over the next couple of days following) and they won't be ready to accept that they have been conned.

Drac, wonder if is to ratify the original vote perhaps to boost the total number of votes received in the hope the 5% threshold is not receached. This would fit with the BOD last RNS with its lack of movement on future funding and the acknowledgement that some shareholders were unhappy with BOD performance. The questions are has anyone changed their opinion since last time (have they been given reason to change)? How will people who abstained last time vote? I haven't received anything from Halifax yet. Will check my account later and call them to register my vote. Deadline 19th is a bit tight though the SAG is organised, it doesn't give much time to attract the attention of abstainers from last time.

Chisagrd, you are accounts trained in the biotech world, but brought this dud and then attempted to average down!? I can understand naive investors like myself with no understanding of aim,little understanding of the science and how bio tech companies are run getting into a mess with this share. Why on earth did you average down? That's a rookie mistake.

Oldblue1973 your 8.42 is bit of an emotional responce. I invested because I thought I might make a gain, the fact that I might make a benefit to cancer research was secondary. If you really wanted to make a differnce to cancer research I would make a donation to CRUK and let them direct it were it would be most effective. If you had sincere care for patients I would recommend a donation to macillian as they really do work hard to support people with cancer and are very effective in the care and support they provide.

Can you please post the relevant link to the ft to confirm those salary figures?

Ask to see the accounts. They will contain details of where the compounds are in terms of development.
