Defiantly not gonna contradict you drac. The current covid 19 crisis has resulted in lows on ftse 100 shares not seen since 2008. Val is gonna be competing for money against some really safe ftse 100 investments (actual investments as well). I know that if I have any spare cash to invest it won't be here.

Guess panic over, just admin mistake. Mind you if 5.6p is the post consolidation value it makes you wonder how long the company can last if 5 years ago it was at 60 odd pence after the last consolidation. Hopefully there are legs suffient to get selling 401 or publishing something on 201, assuming there ever will ever be a day with some jam.

ValJu, tcxman, I think that if the votes were there for consolidation it really should have been in yesterday's RNS. I thought the conenus from the SAG was to allow conlidation to go ahead?
The market will close soon, so by all means call Hl first, but the next thing is to contact aim today!

Comms have been poor for sure. The BOD appear to prefer RNS rather than press release or managing shareholder expections when shareholders email. The only occasion I can think of when they really took action was taken promptly was the RNS advising of no reason for the share increase. As annoying as it was, it was the right thing to do. The thing is with a lack of meaningful updates we have all lost confidence. The lack of justification for share issue (what they hope to achieve and what it will take, rather than "we need money") likewise has allowed them to sucker people in and now we have reached trust crunch time.

Might be a idea to give Hl a call if you want to sell(God forbid) buy today. I think if there was any actual problem at ValiRx they would have to issue an RNS.

It certainly seems that baby boomers did inherit the earth. I do find it hard to reconcile being one of the richest economies in the world, but we can no longer pay student grants, and that's just one thing the baby boomers enjoyed. That said they still belong to a generation who thought that you have to work for the things you want. My teachers were wrong you don't get out of life what you put in, but it is certainly the cases that if you don't put anything in you don't get anything out. It seems that the milennials on the other hand seem to get a lot of flack for being self entitled. I think there is a limit to what you can blame baby boomers for.

Interesting ponit thoth, I admit I hadn't thought of that particular timing issue (got to admit it made me smile). If administratators were called in I don't see why they would go for a consolidation. That would be good if they did as it would mean that there is a viable company, but I suspect they would look at the mess and go for wind up if administrators called in the ip would have to be sold on the open market. As pheonixism is the risk when you sell the ip to a related party. The administrator wouldn't want to get involved in that. The risk is the ip being stripped out before the administrator steps in.

Crying wolf is a risky stragey isn't it? You make your emotive claims about admistration and one day when it really might happen no one believes you and you lose a crucial vote and have to call in the administrators.

I do worry about pheonixism, but it would be a risk to them. The moment they try to strip out the ip we have to complain on mass to the Insolvency service. The question as always is are the directors acting in the best interests of the company and shareholders. This is different from being just not good or unlucky in business. But something like striping out ip difficult to reconcile with acting in the best interests of the company and shareholders.

I haven't had any notification from Halifax re the resolutions on GM and SV.
The last corporate action notification I got was the consolidation. I didn't get any voting options and had to advise how I wanted to vote. They were unaware there were 3 seperate resolutions.

Yup and you know why. Even other aim bios like scancell have had ups and downs. Just more evidence this is a joke share. Why take the risk here. Just look at jdw, lgen, even purple bricks would have been worth a punt!. When there is money to be made in ftse companies the joke companies are exposed for what they are.

Badshah, possibly, but there are 12 full time equivents working for Val. With Ave earnings circa 100k. 2500 per month won't go far for those people if they are servicing mortgages on expensive property.

The tendency of the BOD to be emotive only has served to undermine them.
If thier threats don't come to pass they lose credibility (I can hear you all now lol)
If funding is about to run out (as in actually and immeniently run out) this really should have been reflected in today's RNS unless they have found a magic way to defer all thier costs??
The BOD really need to start being factual rather than threating admin based on what evidence?
