Sf, a nice sentiment it would be nice to have a non paid SAG member in a non exec position if only to speak up for the little guys. There is a flip side though as I am sure it will require some effort and expence from that person so expecting them to be unpaid might be a big ask depending on what is required. It also might cause bit of a conflict of interest as they will have to balance avoiding disclosing sensitive information with satisfying the demands of PIs for more information. With the best of intentions I can imagine that PIs will be continually be asking for information and if we had a SAG member on the BOD they would quickly start coping flack if they didn't answer questions even if they couldn't because of issues of insider information. Not saying its a bad idea or unworkable, but it would place quite a burden to place on that person.

I think it's a little too early to say, but a am willing to wait and see. Not sure how involved GM and SV were involved in the actual science. If they were then it is quite possible they will stay on as employees and I wouldn't have an issue with this. I never had reason to doubt their scientific credablity it was thier competence as directors that was in question. As GM resigned before the results were posted, I wouldn't be surprised if he had left all together, wouldn't blame him if he did at 64 years old who would begrudge him leaving a year early? As for the other directors there hadn't been any indication that they have been part of the driving force that has lead to this mess so I don't think there is any reason to reproach them at this time. However if 2021 is the same as 2019 with all its directionless fund raising it would be an indication of the same old. In the meantime, let's give them a break and let them get valirx back in order.

Really not sure about MM conspircies. The broker is the only player that has to complete the market and they make thier profit by buying shares for less than what they supply them for i.e. the spread. I just don't see the motivation especially when the spread here is usually so wide.
I would suggest keeping a level head and watch this, but don't take the risk of speculating on something happening. If an opportunity arises to take profit I would. If not I would suggest sticking to the fundementals and waiting and seeing if we can maintain a support level for 20 or so days before putting any more money in here.

Hi Drac, good spot. Defiantly pays to look at the company's website. I also looked at the accounts again and with a basic salary of circa 53k Gerry Desler looks like pretty good value. That said looking at Companies House I counted 37 aponitments (director and/or company secretary). Couldn't be bothered to look at page 2!. A number of theses aponitments look like there are a few groups of companies, i.e. Valirx group, Premier group companies. Also according to Companies House he was born in 1945, i.e. 75 years old! He might be CFO, but I don't think he works flat out for ValiRx. I would suggest that he is probably more of a consultant and that any serious company direction came from GM and SV. Given age and number of aponitments I would still suggest that more day to day finance issues were the responsibility of someone else.

Hey ValJu I have been moaning for years! I am glad to see that there finally is the appitite for change. Mind you I think that the cumulative effect over the last 2 years is what's finally done it. The failure to sell Val401 and all those shares issued with the consequent relentless slump in sp finally made people really think if getting rid of GM and SV as directors would be any more terminal for the company than if they were allowed to stay on as directors.

Hi Drac, intesting day! Gerry Desler is a "professional director". If you look on Companies House for valirx, you can go to the "people" section and then look at all his aponitments. I remember there were quite a few. I think a fair few are not current aponitments. Although his background appears to be in accounting it does not follow he is ValiRx's financial guy. Its more likely that he provides general professional advice to the company. It would be consistent with the level of his salary. ValiRx will probably have someone else acting as the financial director.

Lol, very good! Oh well we shouldn't count any chickens yet. We still need direction from the top. Not sure what to make of the rise. I think it is a bit reactionary to think that it is what removing two directors is worth or how determental thier statergy was.

There were two resolutions. No statement about SV. I assume a future RNS to follow. I do wonder if GM jumped rather than was pushed? As it stands he is still an employee, and this is fine with me. It has been his competence as a director that has been called into question rather than anything else. I don't think anyone would blame him for leaving all together with only a year to go before retirement in any case. Hopefully we can start moving forward now. GLA.

Sad thing is Drac that thinking in terms of percentages like that doesn't do justice to what level of dilution is possible. The 2015 consolation had a staring ponit of 30 mill shares. Before this consolidation there where 1,536 mill shares. That's dilution of over 4500%!!! Baring ups and downs due to good/bad news you could dilute the shares by increasing the shares in issue by 3000% now before you push the sp below its nominal value again.

I would say it would be a dark day if the BOD did start acting on what I write on here! I am sure it was just a coincidence (if not sound reason) for them to issue an RNS about the April General meeting after I wrote that they should have, and had also suggested keeping our eyes peeled for an RNS between Thursday and next Wednesday.

Also I noticed the rns this afternoon. Looks like the BOD have been reading my posts hehe

There is no new filling on Companies House, however 12m will be approximately right (1,536,000,000 ÷125 = 12,280,000)
I would expect the vote to reflect established shareholders as of 16 March or at least 14 April.
The only thing is that I am not sure what status the extra 6m is.
The RNS 1/4/20 advises of a provisional placing, therefore the shares aren't actually out there yet. (reflecting the fundementals page)
The broker might be sat on 6mil provisional votes and I have to admit that I really don't know if they will count or not. Nor do I know if vote is based on a % of votes cast or % of total shares in issue (uncast votes deemed to support the BOD).

It might be that they want to proceed on an equal footing with the last adjoined General Meeting. They may have limitations that they have not been able to overcome. That said I think an RNS should have been issued at the earliest opportunity as nothing has changed or was expected to change in relation to the requirement for people to stay at home. I see no reason why a RNS could not have been issued the day after posting the RNS regarding the consolidation vote advising that they were planning on releasing a RNS on 14th or 15th to announce the outcome of votes cast, or whatever alternative to the meeting they thought appropriate.

I think something else that has become apparent (or at least to me) is that these video presentations aren't about scientific work or progress made, they were more akin to advertising ValiRx. I think the ponit was that if I were more savy I would watch a presentation, take it with a pinch of salt, do exhaustive research and fact checking and then invest in ValiRx. I think treating those scant RNSs as evidence of work of merit being done was the big mistake. It might explain why there are no major shareholders and its only the small private investors who took the BOD at their word that are invested here.

I get the same feeling Drac, I did wonder if people simplyly didn't know how to raise a compant or to whom. Not sure if this is the right time to lodge a complaint if change is on the horizon, but I can't say I would disapprove of anyone making a genuine fact based complaint to a regulator. (personally I find it hard to write a complaint when I am fired up, so easy for it to end up in ranting, but if wrong doing can be established with facts why hold back from making a complaint?)

The general meeting is scheduled for the 14th (next Tuesday) as per last time there has been no update to advise what is happening. I would keep your eyes peeled tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday for an RNS.
