Just read the Tw advert that popped up on this site. Besides the Help to Buy scheme there are a few other ways of buying a new Tw new house. There is the trial scheme where buyers can rent upto 5 years before buying then buy at a discount, only 14 properties have been trialed at the moment and were all taken over the weekend.
There is also a part exchange scheme and also a scheme that allows you to move in without selling your own home if it's on the market and Tw will liaise with the estate agent and arrange the removals, Tw will also pay the agents fees making the move as painless as possible

My friend has just bought a 5 litre jag, 2 days later he got pulled over for doing 110mph. He's been trying to get me to go for a ride in it before his court case, no way. I've got a belief about motorists who deliberately speed way beyond the limit that the car should be crushed

I see Psn update issued today. Lower revenues , lower completions is this suggesting that this is the limit that this company can achieve with a suitable quality that customers are happy with.
I wonder what level Tw can achieve probably a bit higher than it is now.

Tw pension booklet came today and is showing about a £100m deficit. Looks like it will increase on legislation on equal pay/pension

In the presentation LK mentioned about the geological layers being forced upwards and they wouldn't be drilling deeper at Goudron cos those levels are at shallower depths in Bonasse.
Last year BP were targeting a 20m field in the North Sea expecting 12000 per day, this maybe horizontal drilling maybe not but that's a lot of oil from 20m reserves

Last year I was reading up on Suriname and According to the US Geographical Society, Exxon have found 2bn of reserves off shore Suriname
Also the onshore field at present is producing 16-20 API oil

The lease problem worries me with Psn , I haven't seen it mentioned yet, whereas Tw seem to be on top

Tw update due end of July

I know I go on a bit about the way Tw are going but to me they are still the best house builder, I've got to say that my pension rides on it :)) I've strayed a bit this year into Psn but won't happen again if I can ever get out. I'm down a couple of quid might take some time to get that back. 20p down with Tw doesn't seem too bad ATB:))

The Tw future for me is to reduce their CO2 emissions. Very disappointing for me is that last year they increased, this is not what the government report aspires to. I would like to see more innovation in the use of technologies to reduce emissions. Every home built should be nearly energy self sufficient with nearly 0 emissions. They need to reduce the abnoxious fumes from their products Tw say they are planting trees but the completed sites I've seen recently there are no trees Tw need to be a leader , it could attract higher prices and a better image leading to a higher share price

Hi Owls I'm hopeless betting on horses so I don't do it but I like going to the Worcester races shame it flooded at the moment My mate is always at the races 60 odd years of betting never had a big win but still trying :)) I intended to retire with £1k of dividends per month but the last recession took that down to £150 a year. Recovered a lot now but was hard and that was with spreading the risk. You never know what will be thrown at you

Hi Tom I wouldn't be able to sleep at night with that amount in one share or even 2. I've got around 20 divi stocks in all sectors, the divis are coming in throughout the year. I've got too many Persimmon that was a mistake even though the divis are good, could be ages before I get my investment back. Croda still marching on been fantastic for me There's something happening at Ggp at last perhaps the drilling results are out. I can see them doubling if results are good but don't hold me to account on that one Gold is where my Aim stocks are heading for the second half this year, l am keen on the Welsh gold mine around Dolgellau, research recently has revealed possible further veins and getting exciting for Alba investors ATB:))

Hi Ben I retired early in 2010 due to lack of work as well as a lot of other late 50s and 60s The industry lost a lot of skills then Some younger colleagues who hung on have done very well, others emigrated Skill shortages started in the 81 recession with the switch to sub contractors, no apprentices and lack of training; so when it came to the 2008 crisis the skilled work force were near retiring leaving the Ines left with big opportunities for wage growth Don't get too wet today :))

The garden needed it it's bone dry, 5 miles away in Worcester both the race course and cricket ground still under water It's a funny old world

Hi Nige This renting scheme seems a logical follow on from the Help to Buy for Tw, although the pilot only involved 14 plots they all went over a weekend I've worked through 4 recessions so I'm not convinced as you are about the house building not being cyclical Since the referendum I've been waiting for the next recession to hit us and to my mind it's getting close, Good to see Tw prepared for a down turn ATB:))
