I can't see this becoming a takeover target, all the big firms have slashed their exploration budgets and need the smaller firms to take the risks.
In my opinion this is going the same way as Solgold with the big firms buying up percentages, when that starts the sp will shift very quickly up and down with large spikes

Lot of mentions about Rio jumping in today but I think the next catalyst for this share will be BHP muscling in

I haven't heard anything from Primorus about taking part in the last placing, I hope so anyway

The next placing could be massive for Ggp with plenty of offers to take part, it could put Newcrest's first refusal at risk on the rest of Paterson in my opinion

I've read on this morning that Ggp should have held out for more from Newcrest, maybe they should have but we have a free carry to production and that means cash flowing in with no outgoings.
Going back to Solgold they were doing the drilling and their annual losses doubled.

This is looking more and more advantageous for Ggp in my opinion

After the Ggp share placing recently there seems to me to be a growing resemblance to the Solgold story
1st July 2016 they had a share placing of £7.1m with a share price of 3.23p
25th Aug 2016 a further £20 was raised sp at 7.93p
After that a Newcrest offer for 10% was rejected in favour of a doubled offer sp at 13p

This came about after drilling results a lot deeper than Ggp's with lower grades but longer strike lengths

Reading those Solgold Rns you could be reading Ggp's
I'm very enthusiastic of the coming months

I don't think this recommend button is worth anything. When your scrolling on your phone it's right in the middle and very sensitive, very easy to do they should get rid of it

I probably came to the wrong conclusion after a couple of things you said on the other board, but I am having trouble with my glasses blind as a bat without them:))

There have been some good write ups on builders sp by Tmt and Nige on the Persimmon board
Both think that Psn is the most undervalued but they are experiencing adverse publicity on quality and directors greed and are due to update the market shortly so best to wait on that one. They are saying Tw are the least undervalued
There are 3 companies due to go x divi shortly:-
Tw paying 3.8p
Bdev paying roughly 36p (these have a tendency to drop heavy afterwards)
Gallifords not announced yet but will be a lot lower than last years after contract
problems
In my opinion Tw are the least volatile in this market and the sp seems to have flatlined, but will the Psn update effect our sp well probably

You mentioned buying bdev before the x divi date , remember last year it dropped a good 2 weeks before the x divi

Tw seem to be trying to offload some of the future risk on the pension fund.
I've had a letter explaining their proposals that pensioners can receive a higher pension if they forgoe further annual increases.
They are prepared to fund advice with a financial advisor
I'm going to wait to see what the offer is before taking advice but it is going to be a very difficult decision especially if the offer is substantial

You are doing a lot of work on your system keep it up.
My take on builders is always short term apart from Tw where my pension is.
I don't know which has the worse prospects for builders Brexit or Corbyn. Historically under a labour government they've done ok , I think Corbyn will do ok for the likes of Galliford, Mears, Morgan , Kiers but Psn etc will be left to their own devices
No deal Brexit is an unknown future but I suspect it won't be good for anyone. After listening to an interview with Norman Lamont last night on radio 4 I still think it won't be good. He was the first man in power to say the Uk would be better off outside Europe politically but he doesn't think that trade will be effected that much outside. Trade probably in the long term will be ok but short term there will be long queues at the ports. Shortages of all goods is looming .

Thanks for your right up.
For me Bdev are too high to invest in just before they go x divi, the last few years the drop has been far more than the divi and takes a long time to recover.
Tw sp are more of safer option at the moment with 3.8p divi due which raise the sp
Psn are a huge buying risk at the moment with this update looming any gains now could be wiped out very quickly especially with no divis due for over 6 months
I wouldn't invest in Bellway on any circumstances not my favourites at all
Gallifords sp very low could be takeover target and worth a punt ad a divi due

Talking about Berkeley, driving up the M5 in Gloucestershire a huge sign has appeared "Berkeley Persimmon"
I haven't heard they are merging so I presume Persimmon are building near the old nuclear plant or perhaps the castle :))

I must admit I don't follow that route my portfolio is split 50-50 and I try not to stray from that. I pick my divi stocks from extensive research and divi opportunities.
I pick my growth stocks from research into their products normally at early stages some go wrong and some go right.
My favourite at the moment is Ggp in at 0.6p when they were the days top loser on the loss of a jv partner oh how that has blossomed, high hopes
So for small growth stocks I research research research and for divi stocks I follow what the wife does cos she's always right apparently :))
