In my opinion Gfrd far superior builders than Bovis not including my relation he's very proud of his new house but not my cup of tea. He took GF to lunch for a burger when he visited his site :))
Greg Fitzgerald moved from Gfrd to Bovis and was a big loss to Gfrd and huge gain to Bovis who were on the doldrums at one point and will probably take them higher.
Am I convinced of the new board strategy, well not yet, being debt free and with £300m in the bank that's a great start, the big if is if they win the claim on the Aberdeen western highway it will propel the sp northwards but have other big contracts at the moment that could do good
It's a big punt for growth for me ,not too sure how long lived this house builders growth is going to be at the moment ,
The house builders growth is always limited and always collapses after the big divis.
The divis are still fantastic though

I can't understand why people are buying into Bovis at the moment with the imminent dilution due and taking on Gfrd £100m debt. Would be far better to buy into Gfrd and pick up the 0.56 Bovis shares. Well that's what I did yesterday.
Gfrd sp is rumoured to be anything between 80p and £300 (can't see that) after the merger
Bovis price could nose dive while Gfrd have a chance of getting to £8 before merger

That don't sound right if you get 8000 half is 4000 so 50% of that is 2000 adding together =10000. That's 25% but there are no further increases on that half
My friend has had a different statement to me but he is a bit older his isn't split in two cos he didn't have any GMP or other fixed increases

Looking at it I'm going to take it 50% of my annual pension is increased by half and the other 50% is ring fenced at 3% increases. My break even year is when I'm 91 not sure how they worked that out

I shall have to listen again. My take on it was if Saffron is a success they would move on to one of the other 12 opportunities and leave Clove for a later date
I'm still not sure if Saffron is one of the 12 Targets it doesn't fit in to the 20-400m , so I believe it to be an extra bonus that's very close to the Bonasse infrastructure

Regarding the amount of news flow we get I'm not expecting anything till the drill is at total depth or even till flow rates
At the agm did Leo say that if Saffron is better than expected then Clove might not be drilled or did I hear wrong

Only thing I can see to upset your plan is the trend to build more smaller affordable units. The trend to build as many 4 & 5 bed units has been excessive. This could effect profits
A Corbyn government ( my worse case scenario) will put more money into social housing not private and decrease share prices

I try to keep up with Trinidad news most days and it seems quiet from their government at the moment.
Rns News from most Trinidad oil firms mention the tax. I am surprised that it is not levied on gas.
Oil production in Trinidad is falling dramatically and it looks like the Goudron field is just ticking over because of the tax. Our work over rig has been with the Predator wells for a while so must be quiet at Goudron although hopefully the water is still being pumped in, so maybe news from that operation as well.
Leo mentioned that negotiations were in progress with officials so I am personally hoping for good news

I am trying to decide what piece of news I would like to come first and financially it must be the reduction of the spt tax to boost the coffers. Deep down though I want it to be the drilling of Saffron that's why I've been here these last 8 years and prove all my family doubters wrong

I read something in the Times about Buffet was looking at buying a housing company as he already owns one up north somewhere. He likes buying in the uk and buying up Tw would be from the petty cash :))

When Bryant's and Beazer tried to merge Taylor's swooped on Bryant's and Psn snapped up Beazer
No reason why Tw should get involved but who knows but for me it would make sense. Easy way to increase land bank and cut out a competitor.
I'm not sure about competition rules
