I agree that Wizz is vulnerable to further black Swan events. I also agree that Wizz is somewhat speculative. Having said all of that, I think that you'd be very hard pushed to find a better, current, risk/reward opportunity.

All Airlines are still cheap from an underlying institutional fear caused by Covid.

As you said. Each to their own. I wouldn't be unhappy with your portfolio of Gold coins and Ryanair. Mine is better though, Gold coins, Silver ETF and Wizz Air.

I've been buying too high recently. I will not top up again until the end of March. Too many other expenses for now.

It's £1 higher than a month ago. The only certainty is volatility. Long term it'll be a great investment.

James, with all of this talk of heroism and cowardice, I'm presuming that you're on the front line yourself or your kids are?

The current situation is that Ukraine have a significant man power shortage which is deteriorating.

This has largely become a drone war and Russia is backed with industrial capability (most likely China) that produces more drones than Ukraine is able to produce.

I said myself that Russia's advances were very slow and that they were unable to take anything significant. Unfortunately that is changing and Russian advances are accelerating.

Europe, India and China continue to buy Russian Oil.

In terms of Russia not stopping at Ukraine, my view is that if they do attack NATO, they will face real modern weapons such as the F35, which they're incapable of seeing or tracking. They would force the United States into making the decision that they really do not want to defend NATO countries. It would be a move that could be suicidal for Putin. Putin hasn't shown any willingness so far to make such a decision.

My view is that if Ukraine is forced to continue fighting, Russia gets stronger and Ukraine weaker. I hope that I'm wrong. Most of that is down to the Chinese.

Please don't talk about heroism unless you're personally willing to send your Children to die defending Ukraine against Russia. I am not. If Britain was directly attacked, that might be a different story.

I'm looking at skyscanner for flights this month. The vast majority of days are red, indicating high loads and high yields for Airlines this month intra Europe.

Disclaimer- I've only looked at routes which effect my family.

Bobbins- Morally you're 100% correct.

In this case, there are not enough Ukrainians or other nationalities willing to fight the Russians on the front.

Russia are able to trick people and then hold them to gun point to make them fight. We can't do that.

Put it like this. Hypothetically you're Warren Buffet (I don't have any idea who you are, so to me, you could be). You buy wizz out now for it's current market Capitalisation. So you pay £1.2B. With your investment over the next 6 months you will lose probably £200m. So a very bad investment. But over the next 18 months you'll probably gain £400m, so a very good investment.

It's all about your timeline.

Bobbins, I totally agree with your sentiments. I was thinking that a just peace could be achieved by shutting down Russia's oil refining capability but unfortunately the excellent efforts Ukraine had been putting into that seem to have hit a brick wall. The US will not provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, presumably because Putin told Trump that that would be an escalation resulting in a nuclear strike on Ukraine.

The problem on the front lines is that nobody wants to fight for Ukraine, conscription doesn't start until 27 (I think, maybe it's a little younger now). All the 2022 Under 18's who left the country as refugees will not come back until the War is over. Ukraine has a fast growing desertion issue, it was 20,000 deserters in October alone.

If Ukraine is going to choose to fight on and quite rightly. Who is going to do the fighting?

A bad deal but protecting what's left of the country maybe the only option.

Let's hope for quick Russian economic failure.

I've got to go to work right now. But needless to say, I entirely disagree with both of your posts. Time will tell.

My view is that Trump can't walk away. If necessary Trump has to continue supplying Ukraine with weapons, even if he doesn't want to.

Though it doesn't seem like it, 70% of the GOP support help for Ukraine. Trump is very powerful but he's not working in a Vacuum.

The only solution for Trump personally is to get the deal with Russia.

The Ukrainians are already there, they'll compromise a lot further. Ukraine doesn't have the young men that want to fight and the desertion rate is very high and growing.

Putin just needs to get something that justifies the war.

The deal is coming.

Another thing to expect. Trump will suddenly announce that they have a deal with Russia. He's the only person that will make the announcement. So being short is a dangerous game. It'll come out of nowhere.

You've got a good record on predicting these short term share price slides OTCD. In my view however it's 50/50. You're starting to see Christmas bookings and yields come up against the disappointment over the Ukraine negotiations.

In January it'll be a whole different story. The market will be looking optimistically at the coming summer. All of the low cost Airlines will do well in January.

I was half expecting the share price to drop £1. It doesn't look like that's going to happen. On the whole I think everything is pretty positive.

We've got the regular bunch of shorters on here today. I guess that's to be expected.

D9- unfortunately I've just bought for this month. Wrong price as usual. I won't be averaging in again until my March pay day. Too many expenses between now and then, including my vacation in January.

With that Oil price forecast that came out last week, you've got to think that Wizz will be very profitable from F27.

D9- I hope that bigger investors are starting to get a picture of better loads and yields than were forecast last month. It would be disappointing if it went back to £10.

2028 is 1-3 years= medium term

Less than 1 year= Short term.

I will retire in 2036. I have plenty of time. I believe in Wizz, I'm buying and holding. Long term.
