& the good news is the share price is trying to break through £2.30 rather than £2.00. £2.30 is pretty much break even after the last dividend payment

I don’t think OFCOM set the prices for retail customers which I think you are talking about, i think they control the wholesale price BT charges the other operators, which of course is their contribution to the network costs. BT build it, they effectively rent it, like similar business models. Which also answers your monopoly point, it’s a monopoly because there is no one else these companies can pay their rental to. Although I agree this is changing by the minute but it’s not nationally.

Hey Pacey I worked it out to be a lot of money per customer. Liberty paid heavily for virgin media and that didn’t stop them funding £3bln of investment. I think building network is the natural thing for a cable company to do. Especially if sky are looking to get out of the satellite business. I think it should be OTT, snd I think it would have been before Comcast but now I’m not sure?

There’s no way Fox will be getting in the network business. Why would they ?

So, what is everyone’s thoughts about a SKY powered by COMCAST & how that might impact our BT investment? Will Comcast slow up Sky or will the Cable in the Cable company pounce on the U.K. and start laying their own network & remove Sky from being one of BT’s largest wholesale income?

Maybe they will have to or should change that. As far as contract goes, would need a lawyer to determine whether pension benefits are a contract or not ? I know other pension changes seem to go through okay, I’m thinking that’s because it’s not a contract as such ...
