I'd like to think that. I'm reluctant to ramp this news but I think there has to be a reason why they are releasing earlier . . . and if memory serves, without checking, I think the year before the results were released in December . . .
Hi Muck,
A quick Google got me this :
"The close period is typically regarded as the one-month period preceding the release of a company's quarterly results, and the two-month period before the release of its annual results."
Looks like they are being released a month earlier than last year and with an 'Investor Meet' presentation too.
Is that no big deal or do they have something they need to tell us soon and with a bit of razzamatazz?
Either way, I'm pitching for a cheeky top up today, in anticipation . . . DYOR.
Ceri, I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that. Well done you. So although you had to take a bit of a hit you are still enormously rich . . . . and breathtakingly humble. Wow. I just love being on this BB to be close to wonderful people like you.
Apologies if already noted, I have just seen Avacta website content being shown on that pesky pop up window which LSE stick in the bottom right of my screen.
Does this pass for publicity . . . certainly a few more 'Avacta naive' punters will now get to see what we have been watching for years. Could be good . . .
I'm quite impressed with this move (Today's RNS). It may not put immediate value on the bottom line but it certainly shows there is some strategic, big picture thinking going on at ABDX. All bodes well for the future.
Last word . . .
It was not a rant. I was, as I am now, calm, collected and slightly amused by it all when I wrote it.
Also, I have in the past defended everyone's right to post what they like on a free to access social media platform. I stand by that.
I am not going to filter anyone . . . I thought I had explained that.
And . . . I prefer to articulate my thoughts with words rather than childish emojis. But hey, each to their own . . . eh?
Icecool, I have never filtered anyone.
For me to 'bury my head in the sand' at the mere thought of someone else's words, I would have to either be afraid of them, or find the enormity of their intellect, their clarity of thought and their hammer-blow articulated reasoning . . . just too much to handle.
This has not happened yet.
BTW by the rationale of your last post, perhaps you would like to filter me . . .
Wynbore, Oxygen and anyone else who thinks they have the right to post what they like but I don't . . .
Counter arguments with reasoning I enjoy. Air-headed, ill-informed, one-dimensional, half-baked, poorly articulated, embarrassingly childish waffle from intellectually lightweight and morally bereft FUD spammers, I do not care for.
As for constant libelous comments and attacks on the integrity of the CEO . . . they are just plain unacceptable. I once read a post on an LSE BB that suggested, words to the effect of, if you don't trust the CEO you should not invest in the company. So all you keyboard warrior, CEO critics out there, put your money where your mouth is . . . if you don't trust the CEO, stop attacking a bloke who can't come on here and defend himself . . . do the right thing . . . and go. But please, go quietly.
For the record I am very happy with my investment in Avacta and as I can still and have always been able to, see the bigger picture, then short term fluctuations in the SP are of no great concern to me. I'm here for the end game. And I don't need to post a dozen or more posts per day, totaling thousands of words of repetitive child-speak, to make that point.
Terrific news today.
Not just because it bears out what the BOD said in the Interim Results RNS of 31 Mar 23, "Based on current trading to date and contracted business in H2 2023, the Board is confident that second half revenues will be materially ahead of H1 2023." . . . I'm looking forward to seeing that convert into actual pounds, shillings and pence in the next accounts . . .
But also, positive news like today's and delivery on expectations expressed by the BOD, while not adding immediate bottom line £ value, certainly make for a sound investment case. PI's waiting in the wings will likely come on board now. Word will spread. Media will pick up on it (as already posted here today).
I don't want to sound like one of those awful rampy-type-people but we turned a corner back in March and now the road ahead is opening up.
I have reported Wyndrum's post at 08.21hrs, for being libelous and defamatory as he yet again attacks the Avacta CEO. My comments to LSE are below.
- Yet again this poster makes defamatory comments about the CEO. This is illegal and LSE are aiding and abetting this poster to denigrate the CEO and the company, presumably to manipulate the SP.
The general tone of the post is disruptive and antagonistic. And the post contains factual inaccuracies which are nothing more than deliberate, manipulative lies.
