Derek, I am not going to make a habit of this as I have people like you on my ignore or ridicule list. However, this evening I have a few minutes to spare before going out. So briefly, allow me to retort . . . .

Response: As I have invited you to do in the past, and which you have signally failed to do on any occasion, please go through my posting history and quote back to me anything I have written that could be construed as "fantastical ramping". I'll wait.

I have not sold my Avacta stock. I don't normally reveal personal information but hey ho . . . I have made in the region of 25-30 purchases of Avacta shares over the last four years or so and have never made a single sale. As for my user name, it is the same on any BB I post on, on the LSE platform and has been the same and only one I have used since I joined in 2009. So to make such a suggestion shows two things; your senility has reached the point where you cannot recall the exchanges we have had over the last few years . . . since you addressed me on the Avacta BB as Apre and have leveled several insults at me using that ID . . . now it seems you can't recall that. Get some help Derek. And, that you will make up any old lie to have a spiteful jab at someone with whom you could never hope to score an intellectual victory. (Explanation : that means I think you are a bit numb.)

My apologies to others reading this. I assure you it will not be a regular thing. But Derek (Touk's actual name) is an infamous attention seeking bore over on the AVCT BB where, with his childish mood swings, incoherent monologues, self-aggrandising and unsubstantiated claims about his past career and investment prowess, illogical and contrived offerings of FUD (against a share he claims to be invested in?) etc . . . have made him a laughing stock over there, with many urging him to take his self-obsessed, spiteful personal attacks elsewhere. I just hope he isn't going to try to pull the same stunts here are ABDX, a relatively calm and civilised BB. But people with the type of personality disorders that Derek has, coupled with his failing cognitive faculties, rarely learn from their regular humiliations even if they can recall them . . . which in this case I doubt.

Now I 'm off out for a pint . . . to celebrate the re-growth of my finger nail.

Muck, your logic and optimism are sound I think. I applied as soon as the offer was announced and since it is a relatively small amount of money I' am pretty confident that I will receive the full amount. It will bring my average down a little, so as far as I am concerned, already a result.

So yes, there could well be news in the offing that will generate more positivity (and SP rise) but I think that the RNS saying the offer is fully subscribed will be enough to lift it. All those big hitting investors coming on board is enough to raise sentiment . . . but that can't really show until after the offer is done and dusted.

Gubbie, don't worry too much at paying 10p. IMO if and when ABDX start to show their true potential, 0.25p will not make a huge difference. Some of us have been saying for a while that ABDX have 'turned the corner'. The ducks are in a row now and more ducks are on the way . . . one or two quacking RNS's (see what I did there?) will change the game.

Can you substantiate your claim you can buy at 9.5? Sounds like your usual not-so-subtle FUD . . . or am I missing something?

Just got in from work, looked in, saw the shower of red dots and thought, this looks good. I've had a read through all the blurb and I'd say it looks more than good. Great to get confirmation of the retail offer details and at a very fair price. And some big hitters on board too.

IMHO excellent news all round, professionally and fairly handled and it seems to me like another of ABDX's long term plan ducks has just been squarely added to the row.

I'm only sorry I don't have a lot of spare cash to put in at the moment. I have chipped a finger nail fishing down the back of the couch but managed to come up with a few quid to take a little advantage of the offer. I've put my bid in already. And I'm not one for ramping but IMO only, I do feel confident that at this price there will be a profit showing pretty soon.

So I'm happy. Also, I expect the finger nail to be fine in a few days too . . .

I'm not sure I can add anything else to the discussion here. Lot's of positive news from the company, plenty of reasoned analysis from (most of) the posters and a general air of positivity about the share.

Over the years I've learned (can we call it the first rule of AIM Club?), 'Never try to second Guess AIM Club'; it is all too arbitrary and opaque.

Also, it is quite common for shares to react a day or two after the arrival of news. Perhaps I am clutching at straws but could we see a little more upside by the end of the week?

And here's another straw for the clutching of . . . perhaps ABDX has more decent news in the pipeline and has been holding it back for post TU. Wishful thinking? You betcha!

. . . and I still think Muck should be made ABDX Director of Comms.

As has been commented on here in the past, ABDX have taken quite a while to turn the tanker around, slowly and methodically getting their ducks in a row (a couple of maritime metaphors there. . .) which has been sound management. On the flip side, a news-hungry retail SH audience have lost sight of ABDX . . . the very low number of posts in recent months bears testimony to that . . . but I'm inclined to say this low profile will change. A few news items, press releases, a tasty follow up RNS, ( a bit of ramping by the herd) and the word will be out . . . Then comes the interest, the traction and the re-rate. (IMO).

Thanks Muck. It reads really well, all positives. Finances appear to be on a very firm footing and anticipated to get stronger in the near term.

My interpretation (absolutely IMO only) is that with a cash position of £1.3 million, reduced and reducing overheads, increased and increasing revenues . . . then perhaps we can put the 'cash raise' question to bed?

I was half expecting the TU this week. Our esteemed top poster Muck mentioned Thursday as a possibility. I am now wondering if ABDX might hold off until next week, until the dust has settled on the scoundrels' clown fest which is Westminster.

I genuinely don't want to sound rampy and I certainly wouldn't try to sell myself as some kind of marketing guru but IMO the TAM for 'home' testing is truly immense, it has barley got started, it will impact on every healthcare service in the world and ABDX are in the vanguard.

And not just in the 'home'. Do I recall correctly a topic discussed last year regarding animal testing (was it foot and mouth, BSE? I don't recall exactly) where the Vet, farmer etc could take tests out into the field to test animals and get results in minutes, which could effect delivering treatment or culling a herd. So apart from the more familiar subjects discussed here (pregnancy, hormone, STD's etc testing) let's ponder for a moment the potential for animal testing on a global scale too.

As far as the bottom line is concerned, a test is a test.

Just by the by, it seems to me that ABDX, having turned the tanker around, are aiming to establish an entire portfolio of products and clients. They are not the one trick pony Covid test outfit that they unfortunately may have been perceived as in the not too distant past. They are emerging as leaders in their field, the 'go-to-guys' in the CDMO world. IMO Abingdon will have a huge brand image among the professionals in their sector.

At some point in the relatively near future, LFT-type tests for a large range of conditions/illnesses etc will be everywhere in society . . . GP's surgeries, high street chemists, next to the chewing gum and batteries by the till in Asda . . . and I feel quite sure that many of them will have at some point passed through ABDX's increasingly capable hands. Yet most people who use them will never know of ABDX. That's fine, they don't need to. They just need the products.

If I had any spare cash I would be adding.

All that perhaps backs up Bell's (confident?) assertion about a 'material' increase in revenue . . . he has a full view of the scope of the operation. And my layman's view is that long before the products hit the shelves as far afield as Norway, Israel, Malta etc, the had to be ordered form the manufacturer . . . and paid for.

Agreed, at the moment, the TU is the main event on the horizon.

If Mr Bell's allusion to "material" (I think that was the word) increase in revenue transpires to be true, then IMO the BOD will have delivered a good result and will deserve due credit. The SP should also reflect this. If, and yes this is wishful thinking, it turns out that when he said material he was being conservative, then game on. Anyone taking too long to look under the bonnet is likely to be run over . . .

As for TA, I do not dismiss it in some circumstances, in some shares. But with ABDX in its current state I think that news, creating volume, will move the dial and the TA will merely retrospectively reflect that movement. Unless, and it is AIM after all, . . . . news reaches others before it reaches PI's. Then the graph will change before the RNS hits. That said, ABDX run a pretty tight ship, not too leaky at all. I hope that continues.

As I recall, last year's TU was early July. Mid June now . . . so just a couple of weeks away. I wonder if ABDX will throw in a juicy snippet of their own before TU Day . . .
