FWIW, may I chuck in my two penneth on the blog/updates topic and comms in general.

I think it is a bad idea, for all the reasons DTW has outlined, as it will never be enough to keep the mob at bay.

AS should not capitulate to the bedwetters, who are few in number, low in understanding of the science (and its IP implications) and self-serving in their criticisms of AS and his team.

Gerry Brandon at Deepverge tried this approach and it was a disaster. He let his ego get control, tried to be 'mates' with his shareholders and ultimately, merely provided ammunition to be hurled back at him (like metaphorical rotten cabbages so favoured by the mob).

Also, and regardless of how some simpletons rail against the concept of NDA's, IMO, if there are ongoing discussions with potential commercial partners, given the potential of the Platform, then I imagine they would insist on a blanket blackout on comms; not to obfuscate or screw PI's but to obfuscate and eventually screw their opposition. The CEO 'blogging' to assuage the tears of bedwetters could scupper the whole deal.

Either you trust AS and the team and their IP and their science, or you don't. If you do, forgive them a few hiccups in their comms style and wait for them to make you wealthy. If you don't, then have the courage of your convictions and . . . silently . . . sell up, leave and put your money in a better prospective AIM company with a chatty, quip-chirping CEO.

Some pretty odd trades have shown up today, some of them late from yesterday. This happened for a period a couple of months back too and went unexplained.

As I suggested yesterday, this current CP malarkey may just be house keeping . . . but I can't help thinking some kind of machinations are going on in the background. Also, odd that the presentation has not yet appeared, it is relevant to shareholders, after all. The RNS said it would be "made available . . . after the event." How long after?

I am not trying to put a negative spin on anything. I do think though that after all the hints about good things to come in the trading update, that we, as shareholders, should get sight of it as a priority. ABDX BOD do play their cards close to their chest but I think its about time they 'showed us a bit of leg'.

The concert party issue my be nothing other than house cleaning but my impression of the BOD is that they are very much bigger picture thinkers . . . so perhaps they see future issues related to it which we don't. Perhaps one day something will emerge out of the blue which explains the recent flurry of activity.

I agree the update seemed a little light. Can't help wondering if the BOD did that deliberately, perhaps holding something back. Or is that wishful thinking?

Although at times ABDX's low key, no boosting approach to communication has been a little frustrating, a least they have managed expectations quite well, with occasional hints that better times are coming down the line.

Despite the hints, which many of us have given fair credence to and held on, the 'market' wants to see cold, hard figures in yer actual black and white. That is what moves the dial. That is what we have been led to believe will be delivered.

I am feeling positive that the BOD will deliver. The next couple of weeks will reward or test our patience. If the update delivers what they have been hinting at, then the corner is well and truly turned and after a couple of difficult years, ABDX are back in the game.
