At what point . . . will folks feel they have vented enough spleen? And stop doing down their own investment?
Come on folks, we have all taken a proper spanking because of the placing. None of us has enjoyed it. And it is reasonable, to an extent, to want to express disappointment, even anger . . . perhaps in the form of an uncomplimentary assessment of the CEO's business acumen and perceived personal qualities . . . if you must.
Personally, I think that is a pointless act of investment self-harm. Most of the angry comments I have seen on here reflect pretty badly on the posters. They do nothing to change the situation and I doubt AS will ever read them. It is just individuals venting their spleen and frankly, in a not very classy way.
If you have to do it, fine. But please, have a little decorum and do it once. Get it off your chest. Make yourself feel better. But perhaps realise that for every poster on here giving both barrels to the BOD (ad nauseam) there are probably others who see their comments as self-indulgent animosity, adding nothing of investment value; just weak-kneed vitriol and worrying naivety about how the financial institutions do business and do over PI’s.
If you think you have a genuine case, write directly and personally to the BOD. Or even the FCA.
Then deflect your attention to getting a return on your investment going forward. If you think there is no mileage in that, again, have a little decorum, show a little mettle, sell up and leave. Silently.
People coming to this BB now, as potential investors, would likely be put off after reading a few pages of posts. Trolls and FUDsters will be licking their sordid lips soaking up all the ammunition they are being given to fire back. The general sentiment around the share has taken a proper kicking, potentially slowing or stopping upward SP movement. And all this aided and abetted by folks who, apparently, want to make back their losses. It beggars belief.
And those of you who want to have pop at me for writing this, by all means fill your boots; it will have as little effect on me as it has on AS. It won’t change my view of the bigger picture and the science/IP, that I am confident will pay me back for my patience.
Good point Muck.
That CP action has been playing on my mind too. I had begun to think there may have been a 'negative' reason for it. But as you say, it now appears to represent an opportunity. Let's hope it is and they take it.
NY, the thread where that post appeared yesterday afternoon has been wiped. So someone didn't like it.
In it, he also got his nether regions handed to him by a very smart poster who answered the question "Who'seggy?" (Can't recall the poster's name.).
This thread will likely go the same way later.
Greed and fear.
We have had the fear (and a fair bit of loathing) in the last few days. As soon as the dust settles on the placing, those pesky retail investors (that's you and me and especially those who applied for the REX and did not get in) will IMO, interpret the current situation as a bargain basement. Then as sure as night follows day, the greed will kick in. Again.
Okay, last one . . . you are too boring.
Derek, you moron, I don't 'get off on it'. I was replying to your nasty, spiteful abusive post to me. Except I wasn't complaining about your post, I was replying with a little racey humour. Because I am not a snowflake and because I consider you worthy of ridicule only.
You don't get it do you? Look . . . don't hand out the stick if you can't take back. Enough of your nonsense now . . .
FWIW, may I chuck in my two penneth on the blog/updates topic and comms in general.
I think it is a bad idea, for all the reasons DTW has outlined, as it will never be enough to keep the mob at bay.
AS should not capitulate to the bedwetters, who are few in number, low in understanding of the science (and its IP implications) and self-serving in their criticisms of AS and his team.
Gerry Brandon at Deepverge tried this approach and it was a disaster. He let his ego get control, tried to be 'mates' with his shareholders and ultimately, merely provided ammunition to be hurled back at him (like metaphorical rotten cabbages so favoured by the mob).
Also, and regardless of how some simpletons rail against the concept of NDA's, IMO, if there are ongoing discussions with potential commercial partners, given the potential of the Platform, then I imagine they would insist on a blanket blackout on comms; not to obfuscate or screw PI's but to obfuscate and eventually screw their opposition. The CEO 'blogging' to assuage the tears of bedwetters could scupper the whole deal.
Either you trust AS and the team and their IP and their science, or you don't. If you do, forgive them a few hiccups in their comms style and wait for them to make you wealthy. If you don't, then have the courage of your convictions and . . . silently . . . sell up, leave and put your money in a better prospective AIM company with a chatty, quip-chirping CEO.

"When a group of sea lions is on land, it is known as a colony. However, if the group is in the water, it is called a raft. A group of female sea lions that belong to one bull is known as a harem. A colony is called a rookery when it is time for the mating season."
Looks like TW has brought his harem today.
Derek, I stand by my post. I was taking the mickey out of your delusional pomposity. I you want to go into cry baby, victim mode and claim you are being 'abused', then crack on. I'll keep laughing at you.
I seem to recall you posting that you are ex-forces. Really? Well I spent a few happy years in DPM too. I can categorically assure you that you would not last 5 minutes trying to "be a man" in my unit. Mickey taking was the bread and butter of generating morale amongst the troops. Whinging like a beeyatch because you thought humour was abuse, simply never happened. Real men don't do that.
If you want to hand out deliberately antagonising comments, unfounded and unresearched criticisms, snide cracks about the BOD and other posters, lame and unfunny jokes etc etc . . . then fine. But when you get a crack back, take it like a man. Don't shimf and moan like a geriatric snowflake.
Dismissed. Fall out.
Derek, it isn't abusive. It was intended to be tongue-in-cheek with a hint of irony, to poke fun at people who have an unjustifiably high opinion of their own relevance.
People who have an unjustifiably high opinion of their own relevance would likely fail to realise that and instead, throw off a knee-jerk outburst of mock outrage. Which is what happened.
PL
Spot on. Though if we are going for musical theatre as a point of reference, I think the Wizard of Oz might be more appropriate . . . ye know . . . keep the friends of Dorothy happy.
Derek, go and find in my posting history a single post that can be construed as "ramping". Go on . . . I'll wait.
Also, to suggest I am being paid to ramp is not only a childish, knee-jerk response, it is also 'abusive' and totally without basis. Not least because I post about once or twice a week . . . some living?
Yet again, you do and say the very things you so weirdly rail against. You are at best confused, at worst a sociopath with a deluded assumption of your intelligence and powers of articulation. I'll explain . . . think you are bright but really you are capable of only narrow, one-dimensional thoughts, you are unable to say things in a way that make sense and you imagine yourself to be some kind of 'king of the one liner' when in fact, your sense of humour, such as it is, is stunted, contrived and juvenile.
I could retort to you that it is you who needs to 'grow up' but really, what would be the point? You never will.
I occurred to me that perhaps 5 o'clock is the start of 'free association' time on their ward\cell block. They pretend to be doing research for their GCE's on t'internet but just have a whinge fest while trading snout and chocolate . . . phew, kids eh?
Wynbore, show me one single post from my history where I "ridiculed" you for investing in HE1.
I may have commented on your dubious predictions based on your skill as a chart guru but that is part of my strategy of having you on my "do not take seriously" list. Which I have pretty much maintained for the four years I have been listening to your attention-seeking, hyper-emotional, manipulative "musings" on a number of BB's around LSE.
Not surprising you came to DNP's defence. You are chips off the same block.
