Some of the comments made in this BB today, about Dr Smith (and his team), have been disgraceful. Some of the comments made about the Avacta situation in general have been deliberately misleading, at best, and downright lies in some cases. Folks writing such lily-livered claptrap should hang their heads in shame.

You bed wetters are free to take snide, cowardly pot shots (dressed as "opinion") at people who: know far more about the tech than you; know far more about the obstacles being put in the way of the company than you; know far more about the likely time frame for approvals, manufacturing, contracts, lifting of NDA's etc than you . . . and who are not here to defend themselves. You are just taking advantage of sitting ducks who have no means to fight back. Shame on you.

By all means be a bit disappointed. By all means, if you don't mind appearing like a weak, whining bed wetter, post your whinge on the BB and make yourself feel better. But FFS do you really have to keep posting the same tedious, poorly argued, misleading, wildly subjective claptrap, again and again, ad nauseam? Say what you want to say, once, then get your weak, whinging, wet nappy-covered @ss off the BB, go over to the corner of the room and pick your teddy up.

I am perfectly happy with my investments in Avacta, I have every confidence in the CEO and my only regret is not having more money right now to buy more shares. If you eejits can't see the bigger picture and can't grow a large enough pair to see you through the bad times, then tough, you are the losers. Its AIM . . . Big Boy's Games, Big Boy's rules.

EGTP, good synopsis. I have been in and out of ABDX this year, a couple of times . . . once with a profit, once with a loss. Right now I have no free funds (am waiting on some cash freeing up) otherwise I would be taking another position in ABDX.

I thought they might dip to the placing price when the shares hit the market but seem to be holding well at the current price.

Hi Doze, me too . . . apart from my Mr Sensible positions (share a/c, ISA and SIPP) I have three long bets open on AVCT and I think that is enough leveraged exposure for now. I have my eye on another that I fancy . . . but IG are only taking closing bets on it at the moment. I'm hoping that will change.

I don't want to cross ramp so I'll just say it sounds similar to Gabington . . .

Ah ha! It has just changed . . . about 15.20hrs. Reduced by 20%, happy days.

I'm looking at my IG platform, have logged out and back in but not seeing any changes to my margin . . . anyone else?

Hello luckykids, I have seen a lot of stuff on this bb about writing to MPs etc, and a lot suggesting it is a waste of time. The many stock replies from MPs that have been posted, bear out the general disdain that they seem to have for the people who in voting for them, gave them employment and pay them handsomely . . .

I was impressed with your letter. It was a mix of well argued and persausive argument, plus a touch of "Joe public at the end of his tether". It also touched on several points, which a letter like that has to do, to get accross the many points that need to be made in a persuasive argument. By doing that, I think you have given the MP few places to hide. So if he has the brass neck to reply with one of their usual party line-towing, lickspittle, spineless and insulting "stock" replies, then I think you have the grounds to go for the jugular (so to speak . . . please dont take it literally) if you choose to respond.

It's the bigger picture . . . either folks can see it, or they can't.

It all feeds into the 'bigger picture' that I believe (hope?) is coming together in the background. Other posters have commented that some of the big players who are involved, both individuals and corporations, would not have made large investments of money and time if they did not consider it worthwhile. And arguably, would not still be in the frame, doggedly pursuing whatever it was they became involved for. Which is the same as what we PI's became involved for . . .

BlackCat, I usually avoid any kind of prediction or anything that could be interpreted as a rampy, finger in the air, sort of statement. So in simple, non-committal terms, I'm thinking months not days or weeks.

That said, and as many of the smarter posters on here have pointed out, there are numerous shots on goal that could get taken over the next few/several, weeks and months. Some may already have been taken, scored already, and we won't know how many have hit the net until the year end results. (YE 31 Dec 21, results published late Q1 2022?). I'm thinking, 'undisclosed milestone payment'(s), LFT manufacturing/sales, early 'news' from the AVA6K ongoing trial, updates on collaborations, the list goes on. (See Energy shares post earlier this morning). I'm also looking forward to seeing how the IND application to the FDA pans out, as it is potentially huge. And, in the slightly longer term (as another poster mentioned yesterday) the potential NASDAQ listing and the parts to be played by some of heavy hitting appointments this year. Jeez, it's mind-boggling.

So yes, I'm prepared to wait a while for full potential to be revealed as I believe it will be worth the wait. But that doesn't mean I am not on a 'red dot hunt' every morning, because I am . . . Dr Smith could surprise us any day with one of the known shots on goal, or the arrival of new ones.

Good points. I especially agree with your comment about manipulation aimed at weedling out the weak investors. (Seen it before, notably GKP, and I think it is happening currently with EUA.) The price is walked down, allowed to rise, and walked down again. The aim is to use use FUD tactics (at every level) to clear the decks so that the manipulators are the "last men standing" when the prize lands. Well this time, I am going to be one of the last men and I am confident that the pay off from Avacta will be worth the wait.

Of course, in the meantime we have to contend with the FUD spammers, trolloons and born again eejits . . . like always winning . . . and the rest . . .
