It has been a choppy week (or three) but I also think we are through the worst. (triumph of hope over reality? Maybe.) Despite the attacks by rabid manipulators, fantasists and disturbingly psychotic loons I was pleased to see a show of solidarity from many of the LTHs here. I think that is down to the fact that the sensible, reasonable folks here are happy with their research and are not going to be swayed by the temporary interest a handful of scum and deadbeats.

That is because when this BB is at it best, it is pretty hard to beat for quality research generously shared by some smart and dedicated posters. They deserve (and I know the decent folks already know this and show this) genuine appreciation for their part in holding this together. Thanks to the obvious posters. The other regular positive posters and troll-battlers, using weapons as diverse as charming irony, fact-based references to known knowns or good old fashioned, in yer face verbal bludgeoning . . . also deserve a nod of thanks. So yes, at times the BB does get swamped by vermin but they are absolutely not indicative of the decent, hard core (steady Rippers . . .) informed holders who make the BB worth reading. The FUD spammers and care in the community misfits will eventually get the ignominious reeming they deserve. The good folks will have their patience rewarded with sh.1t loads of dosh. Enjoy the ride.

60-odd posts in two days on a share you do not own is not "commentary". It is obsessive compulsive FUD spamming.

Sangijuelas1, over 30 posts on this BB yesterday. A similar number already today. On a share you are not even invested in.

No one in their right mind would do that . . . unless they had an agenda to manipulate sentiment in the direction they want it to go.

And the irony . . . you and Wyndrum are doing the same thing but having a "play fight" while you are at it. Jeez, you sad, sad creatures. So transparent, so despicable.

Thanks gmcc. Just had a look through the presentation slides . . . I like 'em.

No fluff, no ramping, just solid information delivered in an accessible format and style. Some encouraging snippets in there too. I posted earlier that I am in for the long haul. Those slides reassure me that I am right. (TBH I was convinced already).

If I were an II, I would certainly take that back to the office for serious analysis.

I'm in for the long haul too. I have said before (as have many others here) it is all about the bigger picture, which is growing all the time.

Like many, I'm hurting with some unwelcome paper losses but my gonads are still intact and I have no immediate need for the money. I don't want to slip into open ramping but my honest view is that this is worth the wait. No. I don't know exactly how long; it is probably months not weeks. But if something good drops 'shortly', as well it might, then fine. I'll not say no. I just wish I had some spare cash, for a cheeky one.

I don't want to blow too much smoke up Dr Smith's nether regions but I do believe he has spent the last 20 years developing a vision. This is indeed his 'life-time's work'. It will define him. And in fairness, many of his smart, capable colleagues too.

Fortunately, those of us able to see and appreciate the bigger picture will do very well out of Dr Smith et al's considerable intelligence, persistence and vision. They have done all the heavy lifting. All we are required to do, is wait.

Just an observation which some will disregard as pointless . . . the current writer(s) on the Ndn ID are not the same as they were back when "he/she/it/they" first crawled from under their rock. The style, tone and content is very different from the original nasty, odious specimen who dismissed all other posters as "Betas" and "morons". The current version(s) is/are equally odious and disruptive but in a more cloying, sugary, "wannabe liked" kind of way . . . but still with the trademark subtle de-ramping and false sincerity. Its use of multiple IDs, though hard to prove, is patently obvious to regular readers of this BB.

LSE Admin . . . by failing to tackle the disruptive, abusive posters - Ndn and his motley crew, this has now become a problem of your making. It is about time you sorted it out.

roundhowe, you make some good points there. It is always the bigger picture that we should look at.

I posted recently (sorry to draw attention to myself, though others have posted to the same effect) that the LFT story, not simply AffiDx but all the potential LFT's that will emerge, has only just started. Recent comments about the AffiDx LFT no longer being the main effort, main revenue stream etc are all valid points and do reflect a change in focus. Fine, I do not dispute that. But there is way more to Avacta Dx and LFT's than merely our next generation Covid test. (Which I am confident will be a success and will sell.)

Also, the other day, on a similar topic, I suggested that way too many smart people have put in way too much time and effort on LFT's in general and AffiDx in particular, for it all to come to nothing. You correctly reference the 30-40 highly skilled people in Wetherby; surely they are not using their combined smarts working on something that is going nowhere! The picture is changing, certainly but I believe it is just getting bigger.

If anyone has posts on the last thread (Avacta and Abingdon etc . . .) that they want to keep, save them now.

The FUD spamming gang are likely to work together to get the thread removed.

I agree with the last few posts on this thread. Good starting post from Melville, well done.

I often quietly rage at the MMs et al, and their obvious shenaniggins at the expense of (almost) every hapless PI that wanders too close to their web. I dont mind them playing the markets, as we do, its their gratuitous thievery that grips my ****.

Fortunately, with Avacta, at least as I see it . . . the MMs can pull all the stunts they like (and they do) but they cannot mess with the IP. That is the crunch issue and which I hope, sets Avacta apart from so many other ostensibly good investments that get manipulated to high heaven. Barring some very bad luck, the IP should deliver what we have all been waiting for. When it does, I will re-evaluate my use of AIM . . . I genuinely dont see the "authorities" ever properly regulating and policing it.

Meanwhile, I am still positive and hopeful that the Diagnostic div will come up with the LFT goods in the not too distant future. Too many smart people have invested too much time and effort for that not to succeed.
