Help me out. Could you point me to where in the last RNS the words "product failure" were written. I recall seeing 'production" and "pause" but, no, no, sorry I'm struggling to recall seeing what you say you saw.

. . . reading the whole of todays posts. What an unedifying experience it was . . . for the most part.

There was a handful of sensible posts from well-balanced LTHs who have the experience and gonads to take these things in their stride. Well done and good luck.

There was a plethora of absolute garbage posts from dimwitted clowns, apparently wearing very wet nappies, plus the usual goon show from itinerant trolls and loons and some confused ramblings from new and not so new attention seeking prats.

But what I found most disgusting was the number of threads/post from spineless weasles who take advantage of the anonymity and safety of this BB to make personal, libellous attacks on the CEO. They are the lowest type of creature. I would give anything to be in the room when they were face to face with Dr Smith and had the opportunity to put their money where their meeley mouths are . . . and watch them crumble. What kind of a weakling do you have to be to behave like these creatures.

Apart from that . . . and even though a couple of my SBs got massacred this morning . . . tomorrow is a new day. Big boy pants on (as usual) and once more unto the breach dear friends . . .

First, you are not in a position to say who should or should not hold political viewpoints. No one is.

Second, I do vote in elections. However, I vote tactically rather than out of allegiance to one party or another. So your first assumption is wholly incorrect.

As for objecting to political viewpoints, I did not make any comment which challenged either your, or your MP's political viewpoint. I commented to the effect that his reply to your legitimate enquiry was condescending towards you and exhibited a smug arrogance and lack of intellectual capacity on his part. Basically, he mugged you off.

Your last sentence was a repetition of the of the incorrect assumption which you started out with. And as such, redundant.

Your original post, earlier, was a good illustration of why our politics is in such a parlous state. I admired it for that, even though it ruffled my feathers (your MP's comments, not yours). I was just trying to say, thanks for tackling a difficult subject with a dimwitted, condescending, sham "MP". You read it wrong. You then sent me a snotagram for God knows what reason.

Is anyone else experiencing problems accessing posting history on this BB? I have been unable to access it for 3 or 4 weeks. When I try to access it, I get this message, "Chat is temporarily unavailable, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.".

I e-mailed LSE about it a couple of days ago, their response was to the effect of, "yes we now about it . . ." with no indication of what the problem is or when it would be resolved. I'm not impressed. Anyone else?

FWIW, I thought the article was written by at least two writers and cobbled together by an editor who perhaps didn't have the same grasp on the story that the first writer had. (Thanks for posting, Quercusrobor)

As for stopping testing for Covid . . . not for a very long time IMO. They are beginning to realise that testing needs to be more targeted, using more accurate tests. Good news for Avacta.

Also, let's not forget, LFT's as a generic subject, regardless of Covid, are very much the way ahead in diagnostic testing. In theory, Avacta could be making (other than Covid) LFT's for years and years to come . . . or licensing Affimers to others to make various types of LFT's for years and years to come. The LFT story isn't coming to and end . . . it is just getting started.

Arguably, Avacta can already be regarded as a success. IMO it will go on to be phenomenon in the biotech sphere, the like of which few people on the outside of that sphere can even comprehend. Those inside (Point, LG, etc, . . . even Medusa) are scrambling to get a piece of the action. Why is that? The rest of us, who can see the bigger picture, just have to wait for the smart folks on the inside to bring it all to fruition.

Bein, I share your conviction. I have a very good feeling about this share because the expanding bigger picture just becomes more and more credible and promising. Waiting is tough, sure, but it is just part of the process.

Dr Smith may have said things that have not materialised (yet) but when the final picture emerges, we may learn what has stymied him so far. Or, we might just be so happy that we dont really care . . . come the day of the races, all will be forgiven.
