In a nutshell, regarding AVA6K, everything planned for the foreseable could not even be considered if the clinical data collated thus far did not support it.

In my laymans opinion there is probably an earth moving moment coming for the treatment of cancer. The clever folks are doing all the hard work. The volunteer patients are making that possible. (Heartfelt thanks to them.) All we have to do is patiently wait for it to arrive. That seems to be too much to ask of some.

You are right to temper expectations with the possibility that data may not be as great as we are all hoping for. However, for all the reasons offered by the more rational and informed posters on this BB, that possibility appears to be slim.

My personal view is that with each passing 'no news' day the balance is shifting in favour of the positives. And there could still be new news on the run up to the big news. The risk/reward profile is looking better all the time (IMO).

We've come this far, a few more weeks is no big deal.

Also, considering parallel research activities on the Affimer front, as referenced in posts this morning from gmcc and others, the 'positives' are growing in the background too.
