Have to admit JMAX that I think I've been blindly holding for that Kenya RNS instead of doing the smart thing and trading. Problem is trading for novices like me normally just goes wrong. Think I'll keep holding the majority of my shares blindly as really feel that Kenya RNS is due soon. That said, I'm definitely using my top up pot to trade, as this is becoming too predictable. When it goes up 5% sell and when it goes down 5% buy, repeat, repeat....

Except for the fact there's nothing in it for the share holders, so who'd have to vote to approve it. Plus you need to consider the merger into the equation too. Of course if they were maybe willing to consider a market cap of £1.5 billion plus that may be a lot more appealing to share holders.

So not really sure what that tells me, except that it's probably not a PI making the trade unless they're placing an instruction with a broker. Still think it could still be a broker trading to cause the 5% swings. Someone is causing these swings, as it happens at least once a day now and sometimes multiple times a day.

Possibly....but everything has to be reported by RNS now because of the merger. I've not looked at every RNS since it was announced, however have looked at a lot. If someone was accumulating surely we'd see evidence of this in the RNS's?

There it is again. Seeing this everyday now and could be wrong of course, but convinced this is causing the swings in share price. I reckon someone is making between £10k and £25k a time by selling and buying back their 1 million shares. Can't recall the name of the poster on here who had a million shares. Wonder if it's them?

You can all thank me.....I unloaded my top up that I bought at the airport on the 1st if July for 51.45p this afternoon. Guaranteed to be 60p by Monday lunchtime now.

If I'm honest I actually unloaded it twice today. Once when the market opened and I saw it dropping, but then fortunately bought it back for 1p something less than I sold it for within 10 minutes of selling. First Tillow shares I've sold since I first bought in March 2020. Do feel a bit dirty after all that :-(

Well it's still early, but seem to remember the last RNS we had of this nature was only a 5% ish drop. For me the way I see it is even without Guyana we are cheap at 50p so no reson for a big drop on this RNS.

But I'm definitely just guessing and always putting a positive spin on it, so bound to be right at least once and wrong a lot. JMAX can confirm the exact amount of times I've been wrong :-)

Can understand your frustration, however I can never understand why people choose to sell on a down day. You buy on a red day and sell on a blue day. Your brain will tell you to do the opposite, but if you don't it will always cost you.

Fingers crossed....hard to stay positive at the moment.

Me being optimistic again but I disagree.....shorters will try use it to their advantage of course but it shouldn't have a major negative impact. Not like we needed a big find to survive. If it does drop it'll be one of those 10% drops in an hours and then back up to a smaller drop before the end of the day. And all forgotten in a few days back over 50p.

Get a grip......its just one well. Would of been nice to hoit a big find, but hardly the end if the world for Tullow.

Nice to see the shorters reappearing..... they've been very quite since the beginning of July. Still patiently waiting for their 30p I guess.

Maybe asking the obvious, but does anyone know exactly what the government's role in the Kenya transaction is? I.e. is it a purely commercial transaction for Tullow and merely a courtesy to inform the government or does the government need to sanction the transaction. Also, if so, does anyone know what is the exact process for this to be signed off. Or where you can find this info?

You're spot on.....there it is at 16:36. I'm wondering if it's a single holder who's buying and selling their 1m shares. There's only 4m volume showing today so if you control 25% or more of the volume on a given day I suspect you can work that in your favour. Maybe they're causing these 5% swings....making around £25k a time. Nice work if you can get it.

Might have to stage another protest till we're over 60p .... I'm spending too much time on this damn BB again .... lol

JMAX you're definitely right there, however easier said than done especially for those who are just amateurs at this like myself.

To me it's pretty obvious why the merger wasn't given an exact date and that's because they want Kenya out the way first. Once Kenya is announced it's a no brainer for CNE holders. However, I'm no expert ... never hide any agenda and just voice my opinions, hoping to one day unload my holding on someone and wish them the best of luck for the future :-)
