Unfortunately what you say is probably true of every CEO. They are largely in it for themselves and not interested in what happens to small investors. We just get fed scraps.
I do agree that TLW could do better at communicating things. Pretty sure they would of known in advance so should of had a response prepared. The one yesterday did look a little rushed and was a bit late coming out in my opinion. Maybe it's a symptom of running a too lean operation with a lot of cost cutting, whereby the PR type roles tend to get the chop.
One thing that I forgot to mention and hope my hunch is correct, is I don't think Rahul was counting on the CNE merger cash for the Kenya deal. I think due to the fact that no date was put on the merger, the idea was to get Kenya over the line thus increasing the TLW share price and making the deal make sense to CNE holders. So it looks like the delays by the Kenya government caused the merger to fall apart, but I'm still hopeful we'll get a deal in Kenya. As always....time will tell.
