RE: RE: Chin up everyone17 Jun 2022 11:55
Except the world is a difference place at the moment .... we've still not returned to full normal after 2 years of lockdown, oil production is suffering from years of under investment, China still thinks it can have zero covid, there's 1m bopd being artificially pumped into the markets from strategic reserves, the EU and US are weaning off Russian gas and oil, Iran and the US are far from signing a nuclear agreement, people are waking up to the fact that the green agenda is a con to tax them more and we need fossil fuels for cheap enregy, the US and Russia are waging a proxy war in Ukraine.
I have no doubt at some point in the future there'll be another crises and oil will tank. However, my feeling is things are going to get a lot worse before they get better (if ever) and we'll be seeing oil closer to $150 a barrel before we see it under $100 a barrel. So don't think we need to be concerned about the price of oil for a few years, especially considering 100k bopd at $60 is revenue of $2,190m a year.
