What does concern me is that The Fool, having apologised for its **** up is now recommending LGEN!

How would a drop of £10bn amount to "all but wiping the company out."?

LGEN assets under management were reported at £1,140bn as at the end of March. £10bn is not a huge drop. The sp has already fallen considerably since CV19 appeared.

Spotted that and did a swop back into LGEN at a good price. The ex-d date is 13th next month. Still have some AV. but much reduced from when they used to be my core stock. MNG is my other alternative.

It'll take AV.s new management more than a few days to turn that ship around in my view.

Would-be customers are on the Ocado waiting list. The company is held back in the uk by lack of infrastructure. Given the recent capital injection it has the ability to increase resources but it is at least as focused on opportunities abroad.

It's pretty normal for a developing company, no?

I'm not concerned that OCDO has sold stake in UK operations. I am avoiding traditional UK retail totally myself. Nor am I concerned about the departing Chairman. People move on and he is over 70 and has done well in the UK arena. Someone younger with a fresh perspective would be no bad thing.

It must be confusing for Americans in the deep south since none of them can tell the difference between Shell and Shale.

With new blood at the helm of av. I hope for radical changes but don't expect better dividend prospects. I've reduced av. and with the new leadership will hold what is left for the long term rather than take more losses.

Thanks for that it was interesting but it did nothing to make me regret reducing my stake in AV. In fact, yesterday I sold another slice to buy GSK as I try to diversify. Also I have more faith in GSK top management than I do in AV.s

I would say that the guys doing Av.s portfolio management don't deserve such poor leadership. Jason Windsor sounded more like one of our politicians than a business leader. He is however, a very good cricket player, I understand!

Yesterday I took my profits from AZN and jumped ship. I just have this idea that they are a good company whose price has been well over inflated recently unless the figures are hiding a lot. Do they really hold that much more potential than GSK?

Now I am looking for the next dip when, as things are, I hope to put the proceeds into GSK. Am I misguided?

Looking ahead as best I can, I can't bring myself to invest in anything with operations dependent on the UK economy. Companies with pipelines and IP maybe, exportables attractive to overseas bidders.

That tide will change one day but right now it's on the ebb. However did we let an overgrown schoolboy take charge?
