Bought more today. Amanda Blanc has again been chosen by the BP board to search for a better company chair. That's no easy task.

It's very strange to see a short position on Aviva at the same time Berenberg has a buy rating. Although they have reduced the value of the short. I certainly agree that the CEO should stick to running. Av. But anyway I have bought a few more at this price since I cannot find any reason not to.

IMO Aviva is a good stock to buy if want low risk, but low risk means it is not going to fly after recent good rises. Currently it is digesting Direct Line and some might be concerned about the pay off, but other than that I can see nothing to worry about as a long term hold to take advantage of dividends. It might also offer less risk in case of an AI bubble. Just my opinion of course, DYOR.

Bought more on Weds after reading some upbeat news of an admittedly tenuous nature. I feel that the current management is well focussed on developing ULVR, but time will tell if they are heading in the right direction.

Bought more this morning. I had a feeling. No long term plan or research, ignored the experts. Let us hope AV. does not have its own Gulf of Hormuz.

I have cash waiting. ex-Div 26/3, pay 14/5.

Can't see how the war in the Middle East can end under the current regimes in the USA and Israel, so best to wait IMO. It makes no sense to me so it's just a guessing game.

Must admit to having taken profit. I now have a stash of cash that could be useful soon.

Back in the day Aviva was constructed merging 5 companies into one. Of course all their IT systems and data were a mismatch and there were legacy systems on the life side, maintained because there were still policy holders but no new business transactions. The IT department managed to achieve the merger, compared to which Direct Line will be much simpler to incorporate, so that should not be an issue.

Took advantage of the dip to buy more. It seems to me that some powerful players are using AV. to do a bit of trading in an atmosphere of uncertainty over a possible AI bubble. AV. has said it intends to use AI but I think it would be more at risk if it had said it did NOT intend to use AI.

Not entirely convinced by this article, what do others think?

I took losses quite a while ago to get out of this stock. Painful at the time, but it worked for me long term. It's always a gamble, but I cannot see any reason to get back in even at this low level. The management don't inspire any confidence at all at the moment.
