The basis that that’s exactly what PF said would be happening. He acknowledged that they were taking a risk on starting without a contract but because the LoI was so detailed and the port would have to shut without them that it would be a risk worth taking. Hence no RNS today. Keep up old chap

Thanks Ian very sweat of you. I tend to think we have very similar views of this share.....it’s just that you call out derampers and I call out rampers. I have no idea if Lefkosia is genuine or not, but I really don’t care for charts etc. I can accept some technical analysis in treasuries, bunds, gilts etc but not on Aim. I wish him well, but with the length of the messages (and I’m not referring to the sticky keys) I’m heading towards my first ever filtering. Bring on the contract and a whole slew of new posters who can ramp to their heart’s content.

Yes, apparently the port is handed over today and “commercial operations will resume on July 2, 2019 when the facility is expected to receive the first vessel to discharge its first cargo consignement” For some reason I have in my mind that we may be doing practice screening from today.....but I may have totally made that up. I know that they’re ramping up slowly. So I assume it’s very few ships next week....but who cares? Right now it’s about signing the contract, the volume can be a concern for months to come.

Because it’s not material news. We knew the port was going to open today, we knew that operations were commencing. An RNS adds nothing. They’ll tell us when they have the contract signed and give us some of the details. (Hopefully fees and contract length). The only related rns I see coming from them pre contract would be a delay and a negative.

I’m pretty sure that PF said that all containers had to be scanned. I don’t think is the norm, but Tarma seemed to want that. That was why he was so confident that the contract would go through....if WSG weren’t there then the port would have to close.

I very much got the impression from the AGM that we can forget about Iran until the political situation improves. To me the only way that this comes about quickly (before the 2022 US election) is for the situation to escalate and then both parties to sit down and hammer out a compromise that makes both look ok. The share price is now all about Ghana, Africa (if it happens) and any other new business that they manage to announce.

Jim. Before I used the word desperate, then I used the words very keen. When there is no evidence that they said either to me I don’t see you fascination. I can’t remember the exact wording, more the tone and facial expression. I agree that it can be seen as positive that the statement was omitted. But to me that’s never necessary as it’s pretty frickin obvious that there is no guarantee.

His son made it fairly clear to me that he was very keen for it to arrive pre AGM. And I can’t blame him. Makes for an easier AGM and assuming all goes well meant that they could educate investors about the new deal. Jim: I think they did actually say they weren’t going to update on all LOIs as well as MOUs. But they never said they wouldn’t update us if they deemed them material. And again, to be fair, look at the share price when all those MOUs were rolling in in 2015....it didn’t move, so I’d agree that they’re not material. This one was.

Someone below mentioned that they thought the LoI was signed a bit back....I think it was very recent. SF said that his dad was waiting for it to arrive and desperate for it get there before he AGM (I’m paraphrasing). So think it was only just there in time. Possibly even the Monday before the Tuesday AGM

Whoever said that contrary opinions don’t get shouted down then please read aliaspc’s 09:30 post.....this board becomes worse when there is good news expected. Foxhill raises some reasonable questions. Having spoken to PF and SF about the contract I still feel confident, but there are still risks....hence the low share price.

It was meant to be within 30 days, but PF is aware that in Africa these things slip. Hence the 30-40 days
