They could have sold for any number of reasons, some of which have been stated already. Profit is not one of them. That’s now how institutional investors think. What matter she is the future, not the past. Yes they want to make a profit, but it’s today’s value vs future expectations, not a case of selling profitable positions.
I can see it both ways. A negative in that they’re bailing, a positive in that the share price has done what it has even with them selling. I did wonder who was selling, nice to know now.
If they have a new PM, or a new CIO who doesn’t know / like the name then they may have just been shipped out since the recent performance was strong. Could be that the holding was too large post the share price rise (that would involve them having added recently and I can’t be bothered to check).
All I’m saying is that there are numberous reasons, but what matters to me is that they have sold a gob load and the share price has held up beautifully.
I predicted a down day or two this week, maybe another small red tomorrow in time for a final top up before news and another on news?? Wishful thinking for perfection, but I’m happy for news to drop any time and my 7 year journey can start to bear fruit.
