@Metatron What are you suggesting? Could it be that FTI Consulting were not engaged to behave like a normal PR consultancy and promote the brilliance of the company it represents, but rather to do the opposite and keep them out of the headlines? I see no evidence of this.

If you click on Commons, you can search by subject matter (eg Lateral Flow Test or Innova) to get to the relevant questions. Most questions are given a ‘due for answer by date’ but I’m not sure how long a department can take before answering.

PL is it not worth asking why the Government continues to amplify PCR cycles to 40 which means that the test will be picking up non-infectious debris from previous infections, thereby returning a lot of false positives. Surely both PCR tests and LFTs should be accurate to 27 CT which is the upper limit of infectiousness?

Don’t forget the ‘you will have nothing and you will be happy’ agenda. It wouldn’t surprise me if people weigh up the economies and battery range/life risks of EVs and decide to rent cars - as and when required - by the journey. Gov will find a way to recoup the taxes by supplying the service and charging for it.

Of course the Americans can put their tax savings towards the cost of a new EV.
