Perhaps he’d rather not address it the truth, but it’s daft to keep asking the same questions when it’s been pointed out for him. He also repeatedly asserts there’s a simple fix for H1 and H2 - claims the company themselves didn’t feel able to make despite being under an obligation to promote the company. So who is more likely to be closer to the truth - the CEO or an internet strangers who is miles down here?

Fwiw I agree with him that there won’t be an imminent raise. What appears almost certain is is one will be needed to develop the field. Thereafter it’s just a case of when, for how much and at what discount.

I think all investors would benefit from understanding the cash burn here. Even those who pretend Gobi is a goer must acknowledge that even best case that’s another cash cow for the time being.

I won’t pretend to know the remediation costs (if they try them) at H1 and H2 but it’s still expenditure.

The cash burn is pretty meaty here, 250bopd of oil sold via a proxy isn’t going to make a dent.

Coming back just to give a running commentary about who you’ve filtered with no actual opinion or analysis on the company doesn’t add anything. In fact it’s a Proquo move that simply shows how you’ve ran out of road.

In quiet moments I sometimes remember you claiming theee would be £5m - £10m WINTER revenue and a 20205 dividend here and it cheers my right up. Not as much as thinking how much money you must have lost here though. Couldn’t happen to a nicer chap. :)

@WOS - the objective was to have a deal in place PRIOR to production starting. Even when production was delayed, here we are in December with no signed off deal - so no revenue. We can all form a view whether that’s good or bad news. Personally I think a deal will come early next year but there’s risk attached to it until it’s confirmed.

I don’t regard someone investing $100k as that material given that individuals salary and the significant discount they gave themselves. Either way even his hugely discounted investment is now underwater.

You claim to have 1.5m shares here - why not tell us how much you’ve invested in monetary terms?

So taking $100k at a 40% discount to the SP at the time can hardly be considered a material vote of confidence. And even if it was, that was before the disappointment of no deal to sell, H2 being (so far) barely commercial and Gobi not (so far) delivering anything significant.

I’m not invested and not that keen on the prospects but I’d invest a 5th of my salary here if someone offered me a 40% discount to todays price

I wonder when he bought / sold in 2023 /24, as there was no dip or spike then.

Similarly I wonder if this year he bought in November (for example when it was 2.60) or December when it hit 1.35.

When the company tell us they’ll be able to sustain 500, 800 or 1000 (all figures you’ve asserted) then I’ll believe it. For now it’s 200-300 and they’re looking into whether they can do more.

I’ve read the RNs and listened to the interview . Nowhere is it said well SUSTAIN 800. Either way, the 821 MAXIMUM was quoted in 2019 so I still don’t understand why it’s done so well against your expectations. But I can see you won’t answer so we’ll leave it there

I don’t think it’s credible to say what happened on an 11 year chart will help inform the future direction of the share price.

I think the only predictable thing about the Matd share price is that it is unpredictable.

And that those who try to predict it will pretty well always be wrong. So why do they bother ? IMO it's almost as though people are trying to persuade themselves that what they believe must be true, even if really it's just wishful thinking.

Yes and that comment about them not being that focussed on the deal contradicts what he told us in September

It’s why it’s important to examine these statements carefully and take certain claims with a pinch of salt.

I suspect it’s not MATD dragging their feet but the others, which if he doesn’t control he can’t have high confidence over

MB told us for years he wanted the deal signed before production. In August he described it as being finalised, in September he said they were aiming to have it ready by October.

It might be tomorrow, it might be next year. Either way a very poor effort for a company who has spent years getting to production and even when arriving late to isn’t ready. It’s like a bride turning up to a wedding that’s been planned for years and not having a dress.

To some extent MB can only control his part but ultimately his job was to get that deal over the line and here we are with no deal, paying PC to store and heat it instead.
