Breathe - I'm sure that's not what they were saying during the Spanish flu epidemic 100 years ago.

Biggest difference, imho, is that one is well-known, well-researched, has a vaccine, we know how to treat it and our bodies know how to react to it (evolution?). Covid is new and unknown. I have a feeling that in 10-20 years you'll get covid and think "Oh bugger, caught covid again. Will have to stay off work for 3 days". Covid will mutate, our bodies will mutate, new treatments will be developed.

It's the combination of the two this winter that is to worry about imho.

Looking at how long it took SNG to come up with the formulation-nebuliser combo, I'd expect that it's not an easy thing to do. Which suggests that it will take time/money for rivals to develop alternatives. If you were a pharma, would you invest millions into reinventing the wheel for a chance to shoot for a higher margin, or just pay off SNG for using their tech and make money from day 1?

So, we are being hoovered up by a yankee VC. Any guesses at what % holding the market will go apesh.te?
