Had a very quick chat with a local lassie who used to work in immunology and has also done a stint of treating covid patients in the local hospital during the first outbreak. I am trying my best not to talk to people about covid these days, because sng is the only thing I can think about, but she was keen to share some of her views on the second wave:
- Second wave expected soon and expected to be a lot worse than first.
- Vaccine nowhere near being ready to have any effect on second wave.
- "Southampton" are developing a very promising treatment, but it is still in very early stages of development and no way it will be ready for the second wave.
Unfortunately, she had to run before I could follow that up with questions about SNG, but it looks like the SNG word is getting around. A bit surprised that she thought it was "early stages" when we have thousands of doses being made every month. Also referred to us as "Southampton" as opposed to "SNG", "Synairgen", "a company" etc.
Nothing new, that hasn't been posted here before, and this is just one (well-informed) person's opinion, but it's good to see that SNG came up without me even asking about it. Most other (non medical professionals) people I spoke to were not aware of SNG001 at all.
