Dave - I believe in a lot of "conspiracies" on AIM, mainly because I believe I have witnessed most of them actually happening. I don't think any are in SNG at the moment.
£10-£20k is punter money in my view, especially on hot AIM FOMO stocks. Stick £10-£20k in, cash out at 5% rise, that's some beer money for the weekend. A lot of folks will be trading in this manner. I am guilty of doing this myself with the right stocks, and I had my own trades delayed on a few occasions with less liquid stocks. If memory serves me right, the delay happens when MMs believe publishing it right away will further increase the volatility, regardless of who's buying it.
FOMO stocks are particularly suitable for this and it ain't got nothing to do with millionaires.

I have my doubts about IIs buying. The volumes for the last week have been at pre-Mundane-Monday levels. I think we are pretty much stalling, as holders are in sticky hands mode and there are no big buyers until further news. 5 and 10k blocks sound like PI punters.

Chris - I don't believe peer review has anything to do with reg agencies. At all.

One of our competitors, however, from memory, they use ifn alpha and are nowhere near as effective. If anything any publicity around ifn is good for us - if blife and Fish get the world talking about interferon and start selling the alpha stuff, we'll have a longer queue for our, more efficient, beta stuff.

Also, it's phase 2 to start in Oct, so behind us at the moment.
