CORRECT: SSP chair to depart; Hays CEO goes on medical leave

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and in the past week and not separately reported by Alliance News:

SSP Group PLC - London-based operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations in 38 countries - Chair Mike Clasper will leave the board at the end of SSP's annual general meeting on January 23, at which point he will have been in post just under six years. SSP says it will search for a new chair, and Senior Independent Director Carolyn Bradley will become interim chair if none is found by the time of the AGM. SSP will release its annual results on December 4.

Hays PLC - London-based recruitment firm - Chief Executive Officer Dirk Hahn is taking medical leave after a recent surgery. Hahn is "progressing positively", Hays says, and is expected to return early in the new year. Chair Michael Findlay will be executive chair until Hahn returns.

Foresight Solar Fund Ltd - invests for income and growth in solar and battery storage assets - Investment Manager Ross Driver will leave at the end of 2025 "to pursue other opportunities", having served four years. The remaining fund management team of Toby Virno, David Goodwin and Matheus Fierro remains in place, as does portfolio director Julian Elsworth. Foresight says a process to recruit a senior manager of the Solar Fund management team is underway and an update on this is expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Oxford Metrics PLC - Oxford, England-based sensing and measurement technology - Hires Gary Bullard to be non-executive chair, starting on Tuesday last week. Bullard also is chair of Gooch & Housego PLC, a Somerset, England-based photonics technology firm; however Gooch & Housego says he will complete nine years on its board in February 2027 and intends to leave before that time. At Oxford Metrics, Bullard replaces Roger Parry, who will leave the board at the end of this month. As an executive, Bullard worked for Logica PLC, BT Group PLC and IBM Corp.

Eurocell PLC - Derbyshire, England-based maker and distributor of door and window products - Chief Financial Officer Michael Scott will leave in the spring, having been in post since 2016. Scott will be replaced by Will Truman, currently a non-executive director of Eurocell. Truman will join the company full-time this month, and Scott will remain until the completion of the 2025 financial reporting process. Truman was CFO and then CEO of Imagesound Ltd until 2023.

Frontier IP Group PLC - London-based commercialisation of intellectual property - CFO Jo Stent will leave by April 30 next year to "pursue an opportunity with a private equity backed specialist financial services provider". Stent will remain to oversee the release of Frontier IP's results for the financial year that ended June 30 and for the six months that end on December 31. A search for a new CFO has begun, the company says. Back in September, Frontier IP said Chief Commercialisation Officer Matthew White will leave on March 24 next year to become CEO of a "Cambridge-based early-stage medical devices company".

Quantum Base Holdings PLC - Cheshire, England-based developer of Q-ID authentication technology - CFO David Broadbent leaves immediately, Quantum Base says on Wednesday last week, noting that Broadbent led the company through its AIM listing backing April and first annual report. Anthony Clayden takes over as interim head of finance.

ASA International Group PLC - Amsterdam- and Dakha-based microfinance for female entrepreneurs in south and south east Asia and in west and east Africa - Hires Geert Embrechts as CFO, starting on February 1. Embrechts joins from Rabobank, where he is CFO of the Wholesale & Rural business unit, the Dutch lender's international arm. Embrechts will be based in Amsterdam. He replaces Tanwir Rahman, who will remain with ASA in Dhaka as finance director.
