I believe Rick is just making it very clear to investors that things can still go wrong. Less of a backlash on him if things don't work out. He's always said it's a potential 10 bagger, BUT with 50% downside. Most see the 10 fold upside, but then can't stomach a 10% daily drop. One thing in particular gave me a lot of confidence with regards to this project. The US state department visit.

You can never fully eliminate the risks of an investment - that’s definitely true - and RR keeps repeating that point when it comes to political risk.

That said, I think this is exactly where Sovereign has provided a lot of information over the years and has built strong social support through programs like the proven 5x crop yield improvements after rehabilitation. On top of that, the IFC is involved, which lends Malawi billions of dollars every year (not sure about the exact amount).

I’m not saying I’m smarter than RR, but I do think SVM is further ahead on managing this risk than he gives them credit for.

I'm invested and think RR's comments are a very good reminder to us all that this is a "high risk"/ "lot of risk" (his words) stock and we need this to counter-balance the likes of the comments made by the Sunday Roast team and Sapan Ghai himself. That's not to say I don't believe there's a decent chance of success here, but many things can go wrong or not happen between now and where we hope to be. Does anyone have any thoughts on timelines, here?
