Berkeley Group’s strategy update reflects a clear shift from growth through land acquisition toward value extraction, capital discipline and balance sheet resilience. The group expects to deliver FY26 pre-tax profit of £450m and end the year with around £300m of net cash, which is a solid outcome given the difficult backdrop. Reading the tea leaves, current geopolitics is the straw that broke the camel's back but for a company like BKG the fundamental reason will be much closer to home. You get the feeling they are completely frustrated with this govt - all talk about building houses but no trousers.

I'd say a buy here, can't remember a drop like this?
