2.9 paid but still very very cheap if all the stars align!!
All coming together nicely. Get in now.
California’s November election will officially feature just two ballot propositions on sports betting — online and/or in-person betting.

Or IMHO even !!!!
No brainer to bag from here imoa.
Yes, certainly some very exciting times ahead for Webis investors coming soon, especially when you factor in our Chairman's statement in the Strategic opportunities and Outlook section of the Webis Annual Report. It doesn't get much better than this if you are a long term share holder:
"USA regulated gaming is seen as the hottest subject at present in global gaming, and something of a gold rush both in the USA and, indeed, internationally. Non-USA and certain European companies are experiencing severe regulatory issues, as well as margin problems, and appear almost desperate to be a part of the developments in the USA. As a result, it should come as no surprise that WatchandWager continues to be courted by large corporations, and indeed smaller operations with a view to software deals, strategic alliances, mergers or even outright acquisition opportunities. Principally led by our Managing Director, the Board assesses each opportunity on a case-by-case basis. It should be noted in the majority of instances, the Board takes the view that "they need us more than we need them" and we continue to protect our USA licensed presence as a core asset. We are very aware of the increased consolidation in the industry and the economies of scale of strategic partnerships and will keep shareholders aware of any meaningful strategic developments with the Group, most likely in the USA, but possibly with international partnerships" - Denham Eke, Chairman
Webis could multi bag significantly in the run up to sports betting being given the OK in California or if an outright takeover of Webis was announced.
Good luck, Brighty
So, coming up to that time if year again. Hopefully all good in the next couple of months.
Can't answer your question Bromf but I quite like the following summary:

So I guess today we find out if we’re on the ballot. Does anyone know what time we would find out and where I could find this information? Many thanks
Who will be on the November ballot we will know very shortly.
Will any of the proposals be beneficial to Webis & if they are will they be voted through.
Webis is building an interesting business in its own right but will it ever be significantly profitable without a favourable Californian outcome ?
I’ve been a shareholder for 20 years & I’m feeling we have reached a significant juncture,
I’ll wait in anticipation of the outcome…
Sounds promising
Entain's acquisition of BetCity today further illustrates the potential of a takeover of Webis. We own a number of increasingly valuable licences in the USA . Once the June 25th ballot deadline for California sports betting has passed it should start to get interesting....Good luck, Brighty
Any California sports betting efforts have until June 25 to qualify for the ballot, with up to four ballot measures currently possible. The legalization of sports betting in California requires a constitutional amendment approved by voters. Read on for all the latest updates, news, and progress regarding CA sports betting.
What’s happening in California sports betting right now
May 24, 2022 – The California Teachers Association opposes the proposition to legalize online sports betting, according to a group funded by tribal gaming operators.
May 12, 2022 – The launch of online sports betting in California would push the total addressable North American market to $37 billion, according to BetMGM‘s investor presentation.
May 3, 2022 – The online sports betting proposal had 1.6 million signatures submitted by the deadline, which means it will likely be on November’s ballot.
April 27, 2022 – A poll sponsored by tribal groups suggests Californians oppose an online betting initiative that is still gathering signatures to qualify for the November ballot. The survey polled more than 1,000 likely California voters.
April 18, 2022 – Multiple elected officials, including mayors and city council members, joined the opposition to the tribal retail gaming initiative, according to cardroom-funded Taxpayers Against Special Interest Monopolies
April 8, 2022 – The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the 2022 MLB season a year removed from a title, though you’d have to travel elsewhere to legally bet on whether they can win again this year. This likely is not the last MLB Opening Day without legal mobile betting, either. Right now, the only initiative approved for November‘s ballot is only for retail betting. Even if mobile was added to the ballot and approved by voters it would be a rush to launch the market by late March 2023.
March 30, 2022 – A group of veteran organizations announced their opposition to the tribal retail sports betting proposal approved for November’s ballot, according to a press release from cardroom-funded Taxpayers Against Special Interest Monopolies. Groups include National Veterans Foundation, the Marine Corps Veterans Association and the Association of the United States Army groups in northern and southern California.
March 25, 2022 – Multiple cardrooms are backing a campaign that will lobby against the tribal retail sports betting proposal that is approved for the November ballot. Concerns mostly stem from the ability the tribes would gain to privately sue cardrooms for offering certain types of games.
March 17, 2022 – Three tribes are taking to television to lobby against the online betting initiative backed by sportsbooks that is aiming for a spot on November’s ballot.
March 8, 2022 – A lawsuit to invalidate a retail sports betting ballot proposal has been refiled in a lower court after the state’s Supreme Court declined to hear it.
Feb. 25, 2022 – More than a fifth of California voters are undecided on sports betting according t
Webis year end today. Not expecting anything special in terms of the figures to 31st May. Interims to 30th Nov we’re fairly flat. Interested to see when the harness racing will start in Arizona and also the gaming bill for California is pending. I’m sure the different bills need to be in before end of June.
I have bought twice since I last posted £2500 at the end of th day today and yesterday, minimal volume almost the perfect storm this looks very positive
Very thoroughly rewarded, and sooner rather than later.
I bought another 2 grand at 2.71 at the close on Friday, it might drift even lower and if so will buy some more. This share is now very cheap again and any news should see a significant rise in the price. I think the price has gone down as most small penny shares have dropped over the last couple of weeks, as some people are licking their wounds.
We should take comfort from the fact that this is a growing business and it makes a good profit comparatively and with more states signing up to gambling it should keep growing. This is all without the California call entering the fray, this might not happen this year, but if you are prepared to be really patient, I believe we will be thoroughly rewarded!
A couple of days like that would be nice!
