Added today in the 1.6 level. Away at the moment so no time to look in detail at this fall. More funds if I can get around 1.5 or lower in these gloomy mkts
He could have placed a RNS to let us know!!! ;)
A friend has sold out because he needs the funds and was getting jittery with the California vote. He needs the funds for family reasons and there is nothing wrong with the company.
Depends how you see it.
I sold out on a loss maker this morning to put the funds in here. I see this as having a better chance of a decent medium term return than the other one. It looks like lots of others are adding at sub 1.75 too but not yet balancing the big seller. You pays your money and takes your choice but it's impossible to tell if the seller knows anything or just needs the funds.
Shruggy emoji
Would seem that way. 1 mill seller followed by 3 x 300k wouldn't help even though v small percentage of free float. Bad news leak or just jitters?
Or someone is desperate for funds and it's WEB that they've chosen to bail out on.
Or triggering stop losses. I can’t find anything. Bottom draw anyway.
Yes, I saw the drop and wondered what I'd missed. It appears somebody knows something.
Must be a leak. News expected Thursday or Friday I would think. Not good
A big drop today plenty of selling but no news at all interesting. As we have been saying any small buy or sells have a huge impact on the share price
Don’t disagree with anything you said.
I suspect most people are here for California potential so if they don’t get that then look out below.
The lack of free float is double edged sword…flies on sniff of news but falls hard if sellers appear even if small number of shares relative to float.
Anyway we will find out soon enough.
the thing with this share any sniff of news and it flies.so few shares in free float .
Made a small loss 70k according to the February interim report
Hopefully the second half will be better
Following on from whl post if we get Arizona we will have the 10 states needed to be able to comply with the bill. It is a bit vague though as to how the 10 licences are made up. You would think if we were one licence short, the board would be going hell for leather to comply with that part of the bill.
Whatever the outcome, you would have to assume that if they legalise betting in California and with all of the other states relaxing their rules on gambling there has to be a bright future for Webis. Gambling is already massive in the States and is just going to get bigger over time , as they relax the rules in more states.
You would also assume that big Jim and the rest of the board have a direction for the company whatever the outcome of this vote. Remember, the company does make a profit already all be it modest, and this should continue to advance as more states turn the tap on
Fingers crossed and good luck

P987...I looked at the track issue as well and agree the harness track Webis have isn't listed in the proposals.
Pulled below from the 2021 report....that makes 9 states by my counting.
The company holds United States pari- mutuel licences for its ADW business in the USA, including a multi-jurisdictional licence issued by the States of North Dakota, and individual licences for the States of California, Maryland, Colorado, Minnesota, New York, Washington, West Virginia and Kentucky.
They also announced the Arizona Downs harness commercial lease in April. This was due for regulatory approval in summer 2022 but I haven't seen any update.
The one off $100M license fee is huge as well. Largest in US. Seems like the bigger players trying to squeeze out smaller with this.
Squeaky bum time.
Not as confident as I was before but who knows....it's a roll of the dice...to borrow a gambling term.
Added here at 2.14p , this is the buy zone leading into the potentially transformational legislation coming in Nov imo gla
The 2 things that need to be clarified atm is do we have a licence in 10 states? Also, the track that we currently operate in does not appear to be one of the tracks in question on the proposed ballot?
My perception is that we must be in a strong position with regard to all of this. It will probably mean that we get bought out by a big player, but I am not sure.
It would be comforting and informative to get an RNS from the board outlining what this could all mean and an update on current trading would be useful. We do appear to be radio silent on news, and as like we all could be this winter, a little in the dark!!
California, is what I’m waiting for. The link below has been posted before.

Looking like both gambling bills will be passed on November 8th. Although just reading to apply for an online site the company needs to be operating in at least 10 states. Not sure whether Webis operates in 10 states yet?
Financial results to May 22 due out in November which will conveniently coincide with the decision in California. Interesting couple of months ahead.
Can anyone tell me what potential webis actually has going forward now . ?
She’ll be given some share options soon enough no doubt!!
I doubt the promotion of the company secretary who held no prior directorships, has no shares in the company and hasn't bought any shares in the open market will get the share price revved up....no disrespect to Kate.
At least we know there is someone there
Hopefully another RNS due regarding the regulatory approval from Arizona which is expected Summer 22. So shouldn’t have long to wait.
Well that went down well
Another 6% drop in the cards
