Posted this on iii - thought it may also be interested here. Not holding at the moment but considering it... The cash outflow is all driven by an increase and receivables and decrease in payables - assuming the receivables are of good quality - and there is no reason to assume otherwise - then normalised cashflow was zero. I always look at net current assets minus long term debt - this has remained stable year on year so basically in 2015 the company generated enough to pay the £1.8million in dividends. Adjusting for the one off restructuring costs and it effectively means the business generated in excess of £4million at a working capital level which is not so bad. Assuming the costs are one off and it drives some savings then normalised cash generation should be in excess of £5million in 2016. So there does look to be upside - dividend is comfortably covered plus as the 2015 receivables/payables convert into cash and assuming similar performance this year net debt will significantly reduce. PBS looks to be on fire and I think worth considerably more than the market cap of the business. Hopefully the restructuring and new products mean in 2016 and beyond, the rest of the business is not a drag even in the current tough trading conditions.
Look likes my hat trick could be on. New 9 day high too.
JH buys 360/- and Kestrel have bought 810/- but cannot see their trade. Don't you just love the transparency of these markets!!!! So who is the seller? own up Jolly!!!
Results about as expected I'd say, but now you have a Company on less than 10x earnings, even after the fall. If you believe that the shift toward a software business has any merit, then the stock will start to look very cheap. Clearly lots of risk here, but worth holding on in my view.
although can you blame them. Im sure everyone might want to take pot shots. Then again they dont listen so why pretend with the shareholders
Dont look good on the face of it despite the optimistic comments by Hawkins. I suspect the contentious pay issues still having an effect. Still the SP has fallen somewhat so its a case of looking at the new numbers. I suppose market expectations will play the biggest part on any movements today. Oh how I wish they would get a grip!
Tend to agree, normal blah! blah! blah! continued impairment charges and div remains the same. Oh well, roll on next year!
Pretty uninspiring with little, if anything, showing confidence for the future.
and nfl is due his hat trick
generous post..yes have been lucky here ...my basic Bearish pov being sorely tested atm tho ..enjoy a great w/e
I don't know JS, you've generally been more right than most on this stock as it's fallen over the last 6 months ( and I include myself in the 'most') . More generally, if you invest in small and mid-caps, then you're going to eat a lot of humble pie - even the best professional investors only get two-thirds of their decisions right, so that's a quite a lot of stuff that goes wrong, even for them ! There's no doubt that this Company has some issues currently, but I think they're quite well discounted in the price now. We'll see....
I may have to eat humble pie here..still e-humble pie is fairly tasteless ...bought back more @25.3p....now hold 20k....pretty much free carry
Haven't logged on for a couple of days, too busy enjoying the Dubai sunshine (although did see some unusual rain) and low and behold not only the expected Holdings changes, someone paid up for 400/- last night. Oh, to have plenty of dosh!!!!!! Sp move not unsuspecting. Jolly good
can that trade be Standard life exiting the scene? 6.582817m and then again just seen a 1.532817m and a 5.75m all done at 20p. So am now totally confused (no change there then) guess Hawk and uncle Bob are dusting off the wallet. Hopefully all to be revealed through a RNS. Jolly confusing.
difficult to find enough motivation to buy more here until 15-18p ...even then plenty of risk associated with JH imv
early doors in 2016, but yr pf looking a little...shot..dear? ...probably best to stick to yr day job
Seems like some bait being thrown into the water. Will it catch anything?
and enjoying the volatility elsewhere
That's the spirit Jolly. Did I detect the hint of a smile then! :o)
than I expected
just over a million and although a 238/- odd seller, looks like someone has purchased a few low priced ones. Now is this the right level to participate? just a question to myself? (but feel free to comment)
Yeah didnt like the couple of big sells. Doesnt bode too well for a technical bounce which i thought could of happened. Seen the markets getting hammered today so see the move down to the high teens. Ill come back when it goes (if it goes) down to that level as good value. And you cant beat a JMB! Ill be back in a few weeks
