irritated, bemused, bored ...our punts doing well, no?
Fair enough JS. I guess you have upset a lot of people....... ;)
Gerry, good points, thanks. Issuing stock at this price level will be painful for sure - lots of dilution, although the shareprice sure has a lot of problems built in. Remember that Buffet also said "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful". Well, very few stocks have as much fear in them at the moment as this one...... Up at 11p today, so fingers crossed....
"Real issue for me is this comment about the banking covenant which suggests to me that there is at least a (slight?) possibility of the bank pulling the plug." I suspect there is going to be a placement, probably at a discount to get rid of the covenant issue which is the main reason I sold. I wasn't sure that I had the conviction to add more with current management in place although it is something I am happy to do generally. Well at least you follow your name, brave, you are. I suspect this could come good at some point and 10p might be seen as a large discount but there is so much risk with poor management its almost a hail Mary call for me. Buffett's "invest in a business any fool can run, because someday a fool will." seems to be ringing true here. Good luck to Jolly and you with your adventure
lovely idea..but I value my anonymity too highly lol
Before the dawn of time, I bought these when they were called Silver mines,it's such a long time ago, but i think I sold out at with a small profit.Id forgotten all about them until i saw the name on, the biggest faller's of the day chart.,and it continues, but I just might have a few quid when it start's leveling off.Any advice?
...not too bad. Now if it keeps going at the rate, I'll have made all my money I lost in this stock in no time...!
Maybe. Mate, you sound like one of those 'rampers' I keep hearing about on this Board....;) Ok, how about we make £200, then meet up for a slap up meal and a few beers (potentially with partners, but I'm easy on that, your call...)
perhaps the 600k whooper was all that was needed to clear the speculative air..15p here we come???
might bounce 50%..and I'll have £200 to go clubbing
Good man! It's only money after all!
to make the point lol
bought 4000@9.93 to keep you company as we sink ...only a few nights out going down the swanny (and it was free carry anyhow...made £5k+ here thru luck)
Right. Girded my loins, took a deep breath, and had the courage of my convictions. 5000 shares at 9.9p God help me. In truth, just a token gesture really, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. Out price 20p, stop loss 6.5p. Done.
...below 10p now, which leaves me in a quandary. Terribly easy to sell at one price, and then say in a blasé fashion I'd invest again at a far lower price, but now we're here, I'm getting sold feet. Real issue for me is this comment about the banking covenant which suggests to me that there is at least a (slight?) possibility of the bank pulling the plug. There's also the size of the potential write-off on VCS. £9m is 15% of sales and 150% of adjusted op profit. What to do......?
sub 10p official...4p for fun?
bloody hilarious.
Official statement from Vislink: "As part of the LTIP , each manager was contractually guaranteed a disc of wood with a radius of 10cm to taken from the bottom of each lifeboat provided for shareholder safety until all but one of the lifeboats is duly 'holed'. We can confirm that this contractual option has been exercised by all management. We can also confirm that he one remaining lifeboat has now gone missing. In separate and in no way coincidental news, John Hawkins has not been seen for about 6 days week.' Doesn't look good does it.... :)
perhaps John's already nabbed 'em
LOL
bought more since shock??
was always in spotlight...I didn't look in detail at the ceo's prior track record..but there may be some history lol
Well its almost there, I dont know why Im still watching, cos I want another attempt to loose even more or to see if someone wants to lower the SP to buy it out. Still dont trust management.
Yep, it's pretty horrible 50g. I got our out at 25p which gave me a 30% loss overall, but could have been so much worse!! I am going to give this stock some serious consideration if it falls below 10p though, but only with a small amount!
Father: I told you son, not to invest in penny shares. Son: But dad, it wasn't a penny share when I invested in it. I've missed the chance to abandon ship and now, with morbid fasination, can only watch the crew rearrange the deckchairs.
