This stock aligns well with chancellor's statement today. Billions to be spent on UK infrastructure and roads. We shall see a nice steady climb from here as profit for Van Elle is locked in with already contracted infrastructure projects. This co. went through a tough time in the '08 recession, so the management team know how to run a tight ship. This is what I look for: - strong order book, and repeat work - government policy alignment with more spend - strong management team. All lined up. Watch this space. I'm in!
I thought this was good to see the Van Elle Business Development Manager getting in early to the HS2 contract & suppliers meetings... https://mobile.twitter.com/VanElleLimited/status/753976809641869312
Got in at the start, and have been waiting for this rise. Topped up today, and agree that this is a good investment in the medium to long term. GLA
not sure it will see today's price again either. This has plenty more to go over the next twelve months....ATB
Wanted to get in this at 101 but was too slow, I don't think it will see that again
at last......we have blue!!! I am still in shock that yesterday's 430,000 buys resulted in nothing!! This looks like a good un to me for 2017 onwards. . . ATB
I do think that this share may well be a beneficiary of the chancellors statement next week if he indicates increased spending on structural developments
Ladies/Gent's, what you need to consider is the 52 Wk low vs hi. Only 3pence difference in a yr so important that the company provide an update or at least we as investors prepare for a long wait for any real return. Company news will be the make or break point in this share price as i personally don't see it moving just based on the daily mail spread even though any news/publicity as long as it's good is good for business. Hang in here & long term you should benifit
No real promotion by the company prior to the IPO hence the slow start. Also, the usual barometer is the Twitter/BB activity which is minimal so vastly off the radar to use a well worn term.
now over 400,000 shares bought and it's a little cheaper to buy than this morning!!!??? It is very odd that this amount of serious and consistent buying has not moved it up at all.
I agree with all your comments today! I've got a feeling that when this gets followed, and news emerges, it will see a good upside. Might be worth topping up???? Views?
It moved up a bit yesterday but back to flat. I think results next year or any major contract wins will move the dial here. Dividend expected next year as well.
Thought the Daily Mail tip might have moved the SP a little as well seems nothing going move this short term ha
....over 200,000 shares bought today...it's a sea of blue buys.. and the price hasn't moved...not even by a penny!! You don't see that very often. Weird
Midas tip - https://t.co/dxI0mx5PwH Van Elle is one of the most profitable companies in the construction sector – and likely to remain so. There will be a small dividend next year, Van Elle’s first as a public company, but payouts should rise steadily thereafter. Midas verdict: Van Elle is a strong, well run business with a reputation for getting the job done quickly, effectively and efficiently. The shares are a buy.
Good stuff. No fireworks or traction yet, but it'll come onto radars in time.
Nice big buy early this morning at 102p. I also gat the IPO and forward to the SP gaining ground. GLA.
gorillacramp ... very interesting co, I like the high return on equity that can finance supplementary inorganic growth ... I'm modelling a divvy of one-third of eps, just for a stab in the dark ... think the principal risk is that it's usually a "subbie", dependent on the lead contractor to get biz and then get paid on time ... though it has gained independent contractor status in the rail sector... I haven't jumped in yet but definitely attracted .. GL
Howdy. Took part in the IPO. No fireworks on listing, but will be interesting to see how this does when people start "piling" in. Will get that joke in first before it gets used to death.
Am following this co admitted to AIM yesterday .. please say hello if you read this! GLA
