gosh this share has gone really out of favour since the RNS. no matter what goes down will bounce back higher
Thanks for reply ( sheltie )
February 28th (though it may take a day or two to actually show in your account). ATB
But do you know the date it will be paided ? 😬
just found it 0.85p just below 1 penny ? Not bad I suppose
That's amazing , a little bit of money back for old rope : ) how much are they paying again
Yes you will. In fact up until early next week....January 26th if my memory serves me?
Forgive me as I've only been on stock market for 3 months so still learning will I be entitled to the dividend payment having just bought back in again today
Don't blame you. Heavy over reaction to solid if not amazing results. Silly % mark down today which I expect to be corrected in short order. Damn good buy in price and you still get the maiden dividend.
In the last month I've bought back in and sold as I thought there was going to be a better share out there but the steams gone out of that one for minute and at this price could not resist , hopefull the sp will regain to normal before drop in about 4 weeks or am I being to much of a optimist ?
Agree with that, ANDYALY - the steady rise in recent weeks suggests as much, i.e anticipation of a stronger outcome than the IPO forecasts, rather than an 'in line' confirmation which is what we got this morning. Saved by the unexpected initial divd announcement, I suspect (often a good sign, of course, looking ahead) so a steady sp recovery seems likely from here. Happy to hold / looking forward to that getting underway - sasa.
"Van Elle Holdings PLC (LON:VANL)‘s stock had its “buy” rating reiterated by investment analysts at Peel Hunt in a research note issued to investors on Thursday (today). They currently have a GBX 150 ($1.81) price target on the stock. Peel Hunt’s target price indicates a potential upside of 8.30% from the company’s previous close
The drop in pre-tax was mostly due to IPO costs and increased rig investment and full year profit is unchanged. Long term this should do well its a well run company making an actual profit not too many worries here unless we have another 2008. I also wondered if people were expecting an 'ahead' of market expectations statement and shares also tank when its just 'in-line'. So did sell my initial holding but very much looking to buy back as still think this will do well by the end of 2017 (barring a economy meltdown).
. . . of people buying; great price so why not?!
nice to hear a balanced opinion
Yeah, definitely! the fundamentals are otherwise still really strong.
Thanks Thegoldrush - but the fundamentals here are surely still very strong aren't they......still a great share to have as part of a portfolio. I bought in at 110p so still up and with good prospects of going higher this year given recent governmental policy announcements etc....
The Pre-tax profit was a major let down, falling from £5.2m to £3.2m as well as the new EPS of just 3.2p for the 6 months. Sure there were lots of positives in there, the dividend etc but against those two figures its struggled to hold up.....Very disappointing.
Hi - I'd be interested to hear opinions as to why this has fallen this morning - the results appear robust and with the announcement of a divi I'm somewhat surprised by the extent of this drop (although I'm sure it'll claw back some of this drop by day's end).
Wrong? decent results good buying opportunity for a solid company. LTH not a quick flip is the winning way here
I am still up 23% even accounting for this temporary drop. Not sure that's getting it too "wrong" - after just three months?

Nope. A share price doesn't make a company. Look at the fundamentals.
ouch. you guys got it totally wrong. hope u had stop losses. naked trader wrong too. dropping like a stone.
. . .(on my mobile phone!) these look like a solid set of results for a maiden set. Nice dividend which, for me at least, is unexpected so that's good. The market will digest these numbers and we can then carry on - albeit at a slower rate I suspect....
